  1. Awesome and everyday you will feel a little better each day..
  2. My plan was 4 weeks out...It is very different with every doc. I started 2 week before liquid,2 weeks after liquid..2 weeks puree or soft. then regular food..
  3. If you are soo bored you should be walking the halls and talking with people that has had the same surgery you had and maybe makes some new friends..
  4. YOu most totally can that left one gave me a fit too. You have to remember every day you will get a little better and stronger. I know right now it seems hopeless but I promise you will. Just try to focus on your walking and water intake for a week or so and try to start your protein.. You will do fine..Just keep your head up
  5. defentily have a good doctor would be the first and best advice I could give you.
  6. Usually people with higher bmi lose quicker. I started with a high bmi and I lost well over 65 pounds in 3 months. When I get smaller my weight loss will be less. I say a victory is when the scales moves weather it is 1 or 5 pounds at a time..You are doing really good keep up the good work and maintain a positive attitude..
  7. Try the gnc wheybolic isolate extreme 60 also. I think it has a smoother taste and has no grit or thick taste to it..I would recommend the chochlate. Add to 6 ounces of skim and little chocolate sf syrup and a few ice cubes blended and it tastes just like a chocholate milk shake.. It's awesome..
  8. try the grape celebrate I like them a lot more than the pinapple..you got to mix it up. There are some liquid vitamins don't know who good they are though..
  9. yep I was 12 days out I was also feeling great. Dont get me wrong You will not be able to lift heavy things you will be drinking protein drinks and water etc. so as long as you don't lift anything and keep a drink in your hand you should do fine.. I was walking 1/2 mile on the 12 day after surgery. You will do fine and if you need to rest just listen to your body and rest...
  10. Your going to do awesome!!! Make sure you sip your water and walk as much as possible..sip and walk you will recover faster and go home sooner..good luck
  11. yesbut watch thecarbs though. you dont want to take too many in.
  12. I know when I am on soft foods I could only eat 3 ounces of tuna. I usually will put my food on my plate eating less than I can and wait about 20 to 30 minutes to make sure that i am really still hungry. usually i am pretty content and don't eat anymore. The signal of your stomach getting full verses your brain saying your full is kinda little wacky. You will get full long before your head says hey you can stop eating now your full. I would measure out my food and put less on my plate and wait a few minutes and you might be surprised at how little you can eat..
  13. Well I really tried to tell a couple of ones at work that I considered friends and one of them back fired and said I shouldn't do it. I made the decesion that if they wanted to know they would have to ask another person I told what was going on with me.. People tend to ask questions when you out of work for sugery for a couple of weeks.. I guess the best way to gett the message across is to say I told you so that you can support me. I didn't tell you for your opinion. I have already made my mind up and smile. They tend to get the point really fast.
  14. try pushing you water in first! I waited a week and got to the point where I was getting all my water in first before I started working on protein. Don't get me wrong I progressed to 64 ounces of water in 7 days. So don't be so hard on yourself. You body can be without protein I think for as long as a month without it harming your body. When you get to the point your taking in 64 ounces of water make your protein shakes with water and count the water as part of your water intake as well as your protein. So don't be so hard on yourself you really need to stay hydrated right now!! But cant weight is absolutly right it will hurt to take water but every day it will get a little better and your can drink a little more.
  15. Robin I use wheybolic isolate extreme 60 from gnc and I love the taste. I get the choclate and it is a smooth protein not grainy like the whey protein..good luck and as feed says it is your taste and everyone is different.
  16. Billy363627 replied to Rootman's topic in The Lounge
Awesome rootman.. I Started out around a 52-54. I am now in 46. And they are really getting too big...That always seems to make ya smile..
  17. Well welcome to the loser's club. Never thought being a loser would feel so good did ya
  18. Well congratulations and welcome to the losers club. ..After surgery drink and walk as much as you can. It will help move the gas and also will help you heal faster. I really do suggest you follow your doctors before and after diet and don't vary from it. good luck and please keep us posted.
  19. You have to realize that people with higher bmi lose faster. My bmi was 53 and I have lost 68 pounds in 3 monthes. People with lower bmi tend to lose slower from what i have read. Be patient and keep doing the things that you are doing you will lose the weight.. Increasing your water intake and protein sometimes kill stalls.
  20. You would get stalls with any surgery. You will be more healthier with the sleeve verses anything else. 25 pounds in 6 weeks is very awesome.. This and any other surgery are tools nothing more. You have to work your sleeve , and not overeat carbs. I eat less than 50 carbs a day 60-70 grams of proteins and all the water I can drink. I also exercise about 4 to 5 times a week. I am losing weight steady. No complaints here..I love my sleeve and guess what I am not vitamin defecient..
  21. be very lucky your doctor is that good on your diet. I was on liquids 2 weeks prior and 4 weeks afterwards.. I woldn't make too much of a fuss about it. At least you do get puree foods right out of surgery..
  22. I get my from walmart it is liquid citrate and it taste kinda not good but 2 tablespoons a day is better than chewing a tablet that taste gross I will be soo glad to get to swallow my vitamins again..That is the goal that I would be glad to reach for sure..
  23. well tammy to be honest with you a slow steady weightloss is better than dropping the pounds in say 3 months.. I am setting my goal for at least a year..I will do everything in my power to reach my goal but I will not beat myself down if I fall a couple of pounds short of it..
  24. I would check with your doc. I had the same situation and I irratated my stomach and I had to stay on thick liquids until it healed. They gave me carafate to coat my stomach and help it heal. you should be eating at least soft foods right now like tuna, salmon etc.
  25. that is really awesome..You are doing really good. before you know it you will be running a 5 k race..
