  1. I had surgery 9 months ago and everything went great. Since then I have had limited weight loss and hardly any restriction. Yesterday I recieved a fill bringing my band to 5.5cc's. Today I began having difficulty breathing. No pain, it just feels like I'm laboring to catch my breath. I have experienced anxiety attacks in the past and the feeling is similar. I called my Dr's office to be sure that it is not related to the band. The nurse said the Dr. was unavailable and that I should go to the ER and have the band deflated as a precautionary measure. It has taken me 9 months to get to 5.5 cc's, I don't want to start over. Has anyone had a similar experience? I'm not sure what to do.
  2. Hi, I completely understand what your going through. I had surgery 9 months ago and have only lost 8 pounds. I am so frustrated. Yesterday, I had a fill that brought me to 5.5 cc's. Today, I am having difficulty breathing. However, I'm not sure if it is related to the band or if it's just an anxiety attack (I've had them before). I called the Dr's office, the nurse said he was unavailable and that I should go to the emergency room and have my band emptied, just in case. I'm torn, it has taken me 9 months to get this amount in my band and I'm still not losing! Now they want me to start all over as a precationary measure. Ugh, I'm so irritated!
