  7. I'm hoping to get a revision to a bypass for gerd and sleep apnea if that is a possible. I called tricare and the lady said that they only cover 1 weight loss surgery in the lifetime or the person. Any experience with getting approved with tricare select?
  8. I got the sleeve done in 2010, lost a hundred pounds and then had 2 babies which basically stopped my weight loss. I have gone back to the yoyo effect between 200 and 245. I'm currently 243 and just want to get the weight off. I have severe sleep apnea and gerd that wakes me up sometimes from stuff in my throat.. Has anyone who has tricare select be able to get a full bipass after getting the sleeve? I had tricare prime for the sleeve. I called and they told me that one 1 biariatric surgery is allowed. Thank you in advance!
  9. Thank you Ladies!!! I think your right i just need to go back to high protein and green veggies if there is room. iv let myself go over the years and am trying to get back on the wagon..

  11. Hey, guys well I am 10 1/2 years post-op. I've let myself go manage to lose 40 pounds again but I still have a good 65 to 70 minimum that I want to lose. I want to do a pouch reset but I'm not 100% sure how to go about doing it? I was just going to drink protein shakes and smoothies for a week or 2 but is there anything i really should do or know before i jump in head first? Thanks in advance!!!

  13. as they say everyone is different. i didn't gain any weight when i was pregnant with either baby. i also carried pretty far back so i didn't look pregnant until i was 8 months along. when I have my first i was 35 pounds lighter and managed to keep that off for a year. the second pregnancy went similar to the first. except i gained 20 pounds after i was done nursing. Thank you sooo much. Im not sure that there is a nutritionist where i am now. I moved from ca to germanyand the clinic that i goto is pretty small but i will see my main dr and see what she has up her sleeve..

  15. I had my sleeve surgery in 2010..did really well and lost 100 pounds in 11 months. however, i got pregnant at the 11th month so had to switch to a more normal diet. fast forward i have 2 kids now and i have maintained my weight loss but want to start again to lose another 50 - 70 pounds..so how do i go about resetting things?? I know a lot of people are doing the KETO diet but im not really sure if that is something that would work for me with this surgery... When i had it done the diet was protein first.... then green veggies if there was room.. is that still what Drs recommend? Any advice would help tons. Thank you in advance :-)
  16. Well so far iv had to get my family doc to put a referral in and that was approved. So i meet with the surgeon on Thursday. I was wondering if i have to get an approval from the surgeon himself or is it already approved and im just doing the appointments now. Also how fast are they with all the pre op stuff?? i mean am i looking at a few months before i even have the surgery or is it possible to get it and have all the stuff done in 4 to 6 weeks? thank you for the info.
  17. OK i was thinking that but everything has seemto go pritty fast it was a week wait for the insurence to approve the consult and then i got made my appoitnment on that same day for the first availible with was thursday, i asked the receptionist what come safter and he said a check list of things will have to be done.
