  1. Jesrsyguy, you are doing fantastic job. My surgeon would also refuse to give a fill with that weight loss. my s-i-l had his done in November, I am not sure that he has had a fill yet, either!
  2. Glad to here that you are better!
  3. yaya9805, you need to discuss this with your surgeon's office. My surgeon had me on clear liquids, I think for 2 weeks, may have been 1. Check with the surgeon's office!
  4. I did not blend my soups, but my son does all the time. Only thing is, he also, burnt himself and got 2nd degree burns on his left hand pouring the hot soup into his blender! Be careful if you blend! I had the same soups as Mis73 mentioned. I particularly like the butternut squash!
  5. Welcome back Tina. Are you in DC? I lived in Maryland for 40 years before moving to Florida. Congrats on the good news on both your cancer and your new bay boy! With your great attitude, you will lose the weight!
  6. Nanu, that is what my surgeon said to! I dropped to 140, and was told I was too thin and drawn, he wants me at 150.
  7. You are young, I would try get under 200 lbs. I agree 140 is pretty good, but maybe too far away to put that as a goal, try smaller goals 1st best wishes!
  8. Wow! look at you b-52! Congrats on your 2 year bandiversary! And congrats to you jennybee for being at goal on your almost 1 year bandiversary
  9. Sorry Donna! some men are real pigs. But, then so is the woman that they are with!!! i am glad you got closure!
  10. Well said, Sojouner! What you said is so true!
  11. 1000-1200 should be a good goal. Don't go too low, as it will be hard to get your protein and veggies in. 3 300 calorie meals, is hard to do! Best wishes! Karen
  12. You just had major surgery!!!Maje sure that you are taking in enough liquids. I think that if you buy some Special K protein drink, it might give you some energy. It is clear liquid, if you are still on that. Drink some broth, too! Best wishes! Karen
  13. yes, you are dehydrated!See above!Goodluck
  14. I know what you mean. My daughter said she found a picture taken of me and my son circa 2008. We both have had lapband surgery. I 3 12/ years ago, him 1 1/2 years ago. she said we looked like 2 different people from then to now! Congrats on your NSV!!!
  15. Good going, congrats on your baby boy. And sounds like you are doing great on your weight loss program!!
  16. No do not get a pasta!!!You will be sorry if you do. Even angel hair will get stuck. Get a soup, something with beans or just tomato would be okay. It is really too soon to try pasta. I have only been able to tolerate pasta recently. Angel hair is actually the last one I would try, it could slip down and then cause you a problem. Sorry to burst your bubble! Karen
  17. Congratulations on both your new baby girl, (beautiful and I like her name!), and you small amount of weight gain. Best wishes! Karen
  18. Congrats, thought maybe it was a pants on the ground song!
  19. Breath!!You will be fine. It is not " a piece of cake"! But, it is not the worst surgery, either. Be calm, follow your surgeon's orders. don't drink the soda if your recovery team gives it to you! Best wishes. Karen (my recovery team gave me soda!!)
  20. Yes, sounds like you are a little too tight. Call your surgeon, ask for a slight unfill. If you can't do anything but liquids, that is not good! Best wishes.Karen
  21. Belching and gas is normal for your stage in the lapband "game". Gas is a major because you are filled with gas while you are on full life support. Great wishes to you,and try some gas-x and walking to relieve the gas. Karen
  22. My prayers are with you. Thankfully no one was injured. Shame that you are probably having to start form scratch. Your cakes looked great!
