I battled my weight my whole life. Chubby and thin. A little chubbier and then thin again. Up and down. Up and down. But I was always within a range that I could still buy my clothes at a regular store. Plus size, yes. But still Old Navy, Macy's etc. My main problem is that I always worked full time and went to school full time, working on my masters degree and I never excersized and I didnt make good food choices and I LOVE REGULAR PEPSI!!!!

After grad school I had been out working for several years as a crisis counselor and got my weight down from 245 to 165. Great! This is it! Now that school is over, and I am getting settled in my career, I can focus on my body and I am NEVER getting fat again.

In late May 2012, right before my 39th birthday, I got on the scales and I was 302 pounds on a 5 ft 4 frame. My story is this : I didnt do a slash and burn , take no prisoners from that day forward. Que the Rocky Montage.... I started with healthy eating. Stopped the regular pepsi, but still treated myself to one occasionally and walked a little several time a week. By the time I decided on lap band and saw my surgeon in October 2012, I had lost 30 pounds. By the time I had surgery on Jan 25 2013 I think I had lost about 50 pounds.
