Gosh! That's terrible. I'm just a band wannabe (my tentative date is 9/20), so I can't really offer you any advice from experience, but I just felt so bad for you. I don't really understand the whole fill process, but are docs supposed to wait until you're on solids before doing the fill? And if so, why didn't your doc? Linda

Has anyone been banded by Dr. Crooms in Tallahassee? If so, could you relate your experience? I'm scheduled for 9/20 and I'm a little nervous. I've heard that he's an excellent laparascopic surgeon, but I'm not sure of his history with this particular surgery.

Hi, everyone. I'm just joining this group today. I am tentatively scheduled to have the lap band surgery on 9/20 with Dr. Crooms in Tallahassee. I have about 200 pounds to lose. I was wondering what I can expect. Could someone help me with that? Thanks. Linda
