so today I went to my doctor and I got my letter saying that the lapband would be good for me..I have a doctors appointment on february 5th...im wonder how long it takes after that? I was going to go to michigan for it but I did not wanna travel so I am now going to saranac lake ny,I live 1 hour away form the hospital :thumbup: I have excited but scared,Im hoping it does not take a year,someone said 3 to six months,I hope ..im looking forward to the new me!! what happens from here,I got the letter and I go to the visit and then its just a waiting? please give me info,thanks!!

Hi everyone im new to the site,my name is Daniella and im hoping to get my band in march,I live in ny state and there is a very long waiting list..so im going to troy,MI to have it done no waiting there..I get my medicare on march 1st so im hoping the dr will ok me..im excited and scared at the same time,lol..I have done alot of research on this and years of reading and I know this is what I want .. good luck to everyone!!
