  1. i have always loved them the higher the better.... lol When i was younger and 100lbs.... i wore them all the time, hardly ever did i wear flats. Then as i got fatter the shoes got flatter... Now i wear heels most every day. I'm pretty close too.. I hide them... then when my husband says... when did you get those... i say.. i've been having them. Bahahahaha and thanks for calling me young. Ill be 47 in july..... i thought about that the other day... in three years ill be 50. My son turned 24 today. I love Kmart... bought these there and Red and sparkles at Dillards. I also buy off of Ebay... really great deals there
  2. I had surgery 5 years ago and a few weeks ago my husband said..... Lapband was my hobby and that I really didn't n it because you weren't that fat
  3. I LOVE!!!! Shoes... the higher the better. I bought these in brown at Kmart
  4. We have a local place here that's been around for yearssss call T.A.R.C. it's for mentally handicapped people and the have a thrift store call The Cedar Chest. they also have a country store with restaurant. they work both place and i love them both. Our local GW does not employ the handicapped which is sad. I use to give all my stuff to GW and shop there. During my WL it was my go to place. Love your three piles..... Purge purge purge... heheheh
  5. @@coachk11233 If your on the fence.... Do more research... go to some support groups in your area... talk to people that had WLS... all the different types. Look around here... you will see people that love the band, love the sleeve and love the GB.... but you will also see people who Hate the band, hate the sleeve and hate GB.... I'm sure you will make the right choice.
  6. @@Smye You caught my attention and then i realized you were a Male... and i almost peed my pants... @@LipstickLady thanks for the visual.... we all know this too well... reminded me of this... Rovobay omg... that's funny right there.
  7. Girl... sell that on Ebay... or bring to a consignment store.... You look like a lady that knows fashion... I'm clueless... i just pick some thing that make me look and feel hot... heheheheh I actually stopped giving to Good will. I give them clothes, they turn around and sell them for pour profit.... so i started donating to organizations that help woman get back on their feet... i also give to woman's shelters and church groups.
  8. @Rovobay.... Thanks, I'm a Leo with a type A personality... so i love love being center of attention.... why are you waiting.... i did the same thing when i started losing. I thought why buy clothes if they will be too big next month..... But then a friend said, girl those clothes look like crap on you... you need to go get something that fit, you know something you have to actually unbutton to take off.... So i did, and they way i felt in the clothes gave me such inspiration to keep losing more and more... So i say to you.... go, buy you some thing that fits... it will make you feel so much better. If you don't want to spend a lot, go to a second hand store... trust me it will be better than what your wearing now. Even though im at 150ish.... i still feel incredibly great today.
  9. @@Graciesmom04 Keep in mind i only had TT and a small amount of lipo on back.... surgery was Feb 15, 2012 and was back at work Feb 27, 2012.... but i have a desk job and a very high tolerance for pain. I stayed over night with a morphine pump and was grateful for it. I slept my first week in my recliner... Day three i was walking down the block and back. After have many surgeries i found that the more i moved around the better i felt. I had zero complications. I also had no drain tubes. My incision was from hip to hip... Not all the way around. I would say my walking was kind of like the Evolution chart... I started out as the monkey way bent over and in two weeks i was walking straight.
  10. @KingMoose... That is awesome... you are a tall one. So i s my hubby... Saw your before and after... you are doing a great job I don't have the body i want right now... but the attention and looks from men/woman is intoxicating....
  11. i stayed over night and im grateful for the person that invented Morphine.... hehehehe. all i had was a TT it was 8800 and i put it on an interest free credit card and paid on it. For me it was better than putting on care credit...
  12. work it girl.....
  13. Remember that episode of Designing Woman when that man made them an "applause" box... you opened the lid and there was an applause.... (season 2, eps. 11 Howard the date) wouldn't that be get if we all had one... when we feel sad we could just open the lid.
  14. @BLERDgirl.... dang girl... you look good.
  15. What did/do you do to keep up the encouragement. I keep a dry erase marker in my bathroom... and when i found a good saying.... I wrote it on my mirror.... This way i saw it when i woke up and before i go to bed... I wrote things like: You are beautiful. Yesterday is over, Today is a new day, make it count......
  16. when i start to feel down and envious of what other have or the way they look.... You know, Damn i wish i was pretty like her or have her body.... I remember..... Envy is the Thief of happiness.
  17. i say.... buy that dresss... new pair of shoes.... work out clothes.... sexy underware.... What ever makes us happy... That's what matters....
  18. Brown Girl.... your funny. My grand daughter was telling me about her best friend at school who is a "brown girl". I'm guessing that's what the schools are teaching now, because my neighbor, who is a Brown boy of 7, calls his friends brown.... that was off subject....lol.... Any who.... I agree with you about the aggressiveness of some of those woman, one of the reasons i stopped selling it. Honestly i bought the Kit because i found out i could buy it all with out selling... and it was cheaper then buying what i want separately... back then the kit was only $99 with free shipping.... lol At the time i was the only person in a 100 miles rad that could sell it.... and people started asking me, and i said why the hell not... so i sold it for a while, made my money back plus some... then other started and the back stabbing began... bye bye... not for me. I saw the Coverfx and wanted to try it... but my skin is sensitive.... and it worries me. Nothing worse than a 46 year old with a broke out face.... hehehe
  19. Im definitely a Clinique girl. I have used it all my life. I started wearing make up around 13. I have tried a few others every now and then, but they never give me the coverage Clinique give me. I use their bb cream age defying cream (#2). Stay-Matte sheer press (stay cream) , soft-pressed powder (new clover), Different Lipstick (surprise). December of 2012 i was introduced to Younique. It's a new company, they only sell on line through a rep. Kind of like Mary-kay...but so much better in my opinion. I am in love with their 3d mascara... as you can tell. and their shadows are pigments which i love love love... they can be worn dry or wet. I use rosewater to do that. the colors are beautiful in matte and shimmers. Like Bare Minerals... but better ingredients and cheaper. Go pull them up on Pintrest and their website. a few of my fav colors... but they have 32 diff. in all... I like shimmers...
  20. I have to get back in the gym and remember that feeling of... Wow, i feel great. I have been horrible about it. But, being about to wear cute workout clothes does make a difference.... I found it made me feel really good about my self and noticing the men/woman noticing me... didn't hurt.
  21. @tiffanymarie6997.... first let me say, you are stunningly beautiful. so here's my 2cents.... because im a tell it like it is type A personality, that believes in telling the truth or not saying anything at all.... I know me and my sharp tongue would have looked her in the face and said..... What did you just say? Did you really just say that i would be prettier if i lost weight? Are you really that ignorant and insensitive....Did you mama not teach you any manners at all. Let me tell you one thing.... I am beautiful too my core, i can lose weight, but you my dear, can't ever change your ugly heart. Then in my best Bon Qui Qui voice.... Said..... Rude... and walked away.
  22. I only had the TT. My garment was something like the attached photo (long tan one). it was nude in color with bra type hook and zipper down each side. I wore it 23 hours a day for 8 weeks. I only took it off to shower and wash/dry it... and i put it right back on. I drank a lot of pineapple juice... i heard it helped with the swelling and i have to admit, it seemed to work for me. I also bought the large maxi-pads... you know the type your grandma and mom wore... and i taped them together over laping and put them across my incision. After my dr. said it was ok to start, i started with strivectin SD. Only because i already had it.... but after, my dr. said any lotion good will do. The key is to keep it moisturized.
  23. @@Miss Mac Why did he make you wear man socks? good thing he's an ex... lol @@gowalking I agree with the shoes... the sexier and higher the better. Few new additions... I wish i could buy the matching bras.... but they don't make many cute ones in a 34H.... hehe
  24. @@Butterfly512 ...... this is something i posted here a few years back. How i felt and i hope it may help. By the way we were about the same.... Im 5'2.5" and was 223 I have not always needed you.... and one time in my life.. i was a "normal" person. Size 0-3... weight a whopping 100lbs. Back in my single day... then one day you meet a wonderful guy and you fall in love... ahhh things are great. You get married and have a beautiful son. and life is good.... but then you notice that your not happy as you use to be. some days are worse than others... you find the strength to get up every day and go to work and live a "normal" life. Things are good at home... but something is missing... that spark, that feeling you use to get when you and your spouse were together intimately .. and you notice that those time have gotten further and further apart... and you think, what is going on? and one day the reason is staring you right in the face... the mirror... but in that mirror is someone else... surely it's not me... I don't look like that... that's a ugly fat girl... i'm not ugly and i for damn sure am not fat. Can't be... i told my self years ago i would NEVER let myself look like... those people... but then you look closer... and closer and there.. i know those eyes.... those are my eyes... but why do they look so sad. I have happy eyes. and i see, i see the real me. the one others have been seeing for years.... how did i not see this... how did i let myself get like this ... how did i become that girl that now had to shop at the plus size store... when just yesterday i was a size 3... How did i become the girl the skinny girls are now looking at and saying... i'll never let my self look like HER... and i'm the HER. this feeling takes the very last shred of self-confidence and stomps it into the dirt and spits on it. and you think...i am ugly i am fat i am unworthy of love.... unworthy of feeling good. and you start to eat... more and more and everything keeps getting worse. you stop taking care of your self, stop dressing up stop wearing make up and fixing your hair.... stop putting forth the effort at all... You are now sitting in a deep dark cave, alone and no one or nothing can show you the light.... But one day... you open your eyes expecting to see nothing... complete darkness and there it is... a speck of light.... it's tiny, but just right there in front of you. and you squint to see it.... making sure its really there. that speck was my friend Paula... she had lb surgery and everyday we talked and everyday my light grow brighter.... I went to the doctor and did all the test... did it all and then the news that i was approved... OH ... JOy. I looked in the mirror and saw a glimmer of hope. But as the days grew closer... I started to think... WHAT IF... what if i die on the table, what if i fail at this too, what if i stayed fat forever... Then i saw this site...trolled for a long while. I didn't want to sign because, well what if someone knew me... the horror... Then i saw all the successful people... the beautiful woman and handsome men that in their before pictures looked so sad... sad like me. Then i saw the after pictures.. and all the happy smiling faces... people who were bigger than me... now wearing size 6 jeans (lellow)... and i thought.. i can do this i can get my life back.... I will be happy again. so on November 10, 2009... i awoke.. was re-born. and i did do it... i lost 80lbs... it took me longer than most, but i don't care. I have donated all the 12-14-16 & 18 and moved in to my own size 6... On Feb 15, 2012.... after a long hard fight.... i won and awarded my self a tummy tuck... i deserved it. I earned it.... so to my band... thank you... for sticking with me and always keeping me on track. and too all you out there thinking about doing this.....search with in your self and be happy again... which ever way you choose.....
  25. Question: What have you replaced your "food addiction" with? Me.... I can't stop buying sexy underwear.... I know it's crazy. But one of the first things i did was threw out all the un-sexy white high-wasted cotton draws..... Now i look forward each month to getting the coupon in the mail from VS. My underwear drawer use to be a sea of white ugliness..... now it bright and cheerful.... I would have said sex... but i don't think "by yourself" counts.... lol
