  1. I feel like a sponge soaked with water this weekend. Noticed it yesterday already, also today. TMI I guess but this feeling of having peed and then this strange feeling in the bladder that lasts for a while - like you still have to pee.

I went to the dr. yesterday.... he put me on Bactrum. Starting to feel better

  2. The local medical association approved my papers!

Just got the information yesterday evening when checking my mailbox. I guess the exam will be in January. They have to tell me the exact date at least two weeks in advance.

  3. Temperature still normal. No symptoms. One week is over. Both my colleague and I are doing fine.

  4. Infection rates are soaring. I was a contact person again (and a fellow colleague who assisted me) and now we've gotten some sheet where we have to take note of any symptoms and we have to take our temp every day for 14 days. Luckily so far we're both alright.

I guess this will be the new norm until we have a test fast enough so patients without symptoms can be isolated sooner.

Hope everything continues to go good for you. I had three contact.....none more so than my husband. We slept in the same bed, ate together, showered together... etc. The two of my co workers got it.

  5. Test yesterday was negative. So we now have a patient with symptoms of a respiratory tract infection, a negative-positive-negative test constellation and nobody seems to really know how to proceed further from there and referred to the public health department.

i had the lapband placed in 2009 i was back at in 5 days, that was 2009. In 2017 band slipped and had it removed on a thursday and was back at work on Monday. Sleeved 8/28/19 at 51 y/o on a wednesday and was back at work on monday.

As long as you do your preop diet correctly and you get walking you should be fine.

  8. Just a couple of days away from my short in-state vacation.  First trip post-surgery.  Still feeling anxious but am prepping the best I can to have protein bars aplenty so that I stay out of restaurants as much as possible.

I always found that when i go on vacation or during holidays i usually lose weight. I become super aware of everything i eat so i don't gain and end of losing.

I also do a little research on the local restaurants on line and study the menu's and know exactly what i will be having before i walk in the door. Ask me any restaurant chain and i can tell you exactly what i always get..... hehe.. it's a thing.

      Have a great vacation.....

  9. I think I overachieved today.  Decided to enjoy the good weather and go drive out to a site I did a lot of camping and hiking at years and years ago.  Planned on a simple little short trek around the old stomping grounds.  Cut to 2 hours, 4 miles, and 950 calories later and I think my little trek turned into a slightly bigger one.  Ranged all over the old trails and got to reminisce.  Was a good distraction from dealing with unpleasantness.

Same here.... I remember the first time i caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror in a mall.... i had to back up and i started crying ... I could not believe it was me. that was way back in 2012ish.... when i was 143#..... now at 120# even though the pants size says 0-2..I still don't see it. I know i have body dysmorphia

  12. Finally mustered up the courage to write that letter to my insurance about plastics. Now it's wait and see.

I'm sick today. Diarrhea, stomach ache, eyes slightly burning, feeling a bit sub-febrile, being cold all day. Went to the doctor's and got a sick leave until Thursday. Seems kind of silly during vacation but one gets the vacation days back later.

i am an open book. I have never been DX with it, but i know i have body dysmorphia. I don't see what others see. like now.. I don't see size 0-2... i still see a large woman.

anywho.... before the TT i felt "not finished"... like there was still more to do. I didn't feel comfortable in my skin and didn't want others to see it either. After, i really did feel like... i liked me and the way i looked. I do have more confidence and feel i walk with my head a little higher

the cost was not bad. I didn't have any other work done. At the time i wanted to get a breast reduction and lift, but talked myself out of it.

I completely understand.... I was a cash pay. I had a TT w/MR and lipo to the flanks back in 2012. $8800.

Worth every cent. I felt and continue to feel great. Even after the band removal and gain.... A whole different feeling. It's like a rebirth.

  17. THINKING OF GETTING SLEEVE SURGERY DONE. READ LOTS OF THINGS ON IT. REALLY NERVOUS I'VE HAD FOUR C-SECTIONS SO IS THE PAIN CLOSE TO THAT?

      BayougirlMrsS

I've had 2 c sections, partial hysterectomy, gallbladder removed, Lapband, TT, Lapaband removed and the sleeve.... Sleeve was the easiest SX i had. I was walking the hall with in a few hours and went home the next day. Slept that day....back at work on Monday.

  18. I am almost 8 weeks post op and I am down to 157 from 202. I have been struggling with nausea but not vomiting. Anyone else having this happen?

do you set a timer? This is also a hard one or me. During the time between the band removal and sleeve i got back into the habit of drinking with meals..... water, coffee, wine, cocktails.

I find myself forgetting. In the past months i only threw up twice... so thats good, but i have felt nausea a few times. So now i set a timer on my phone or if im home, i use Alexa.

  20. Hello everyone I'm new here, I had my Gastric Sleeve surgery on December 3rd everything was going well but alot has happened. I found out my husband was cheating on me with another woman online! Make along story short my teen boys and I moved from Georgia back home to CT to be with family.  But with being said my weight loss has stalled I'm losing inches but not weight and I feeling blah.  I'm meeting my new Bariatric surgeon this Thursday and my Nutritionist too. But I just cant get out of this funk and suggestions to start feeling better again? Thank me

You have to put you first. I know it’s had when you have kids. You can do this.
I feel this is a blessing

Look at this as a blessing and a jump start into the "new you"..... Are you taking pictures?? You have too. We don't always see the WL in a mirror or on a scale, although im a slave to the scale....

I was married to my now ex for 26 years.... found out that after Band SX and i was losing weight he cheated. He stopped having sex with me... was telling me he had zero sex drive.... Lies.... My gut said he was cheating... but he denied it....

Anyway.... when a door closes, it has to open sooner or later...

yeahhhhhh we are only 3 months apart on the sleeve journey. I found it has been way easier to lose with the sleeve than it was with the band...... although i loved my band. Sleeve was the easiest SX i ever had too.....
