  1. Just wondering why you need to be on liquid until Sunday. It`s usually a day of liquid. If you`re that hungry, can`t you have some yoghurt, Soup or some sort of mushy food? You`ve lost considerable amount of weight without a fill for so long though. Well done, hun. Hope the hunger situation subsides soon.
  2. You will have had the surgery by the time you read this but congrats on the remaining of your journey. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
  3. Congrats for reaching the onederland. Good work done. Merry Christmas to you too.
  4. Thanks for the card. Merry Christmas to you too. Happy and melting New Year to us all.
  5. Good luck with the surgery on the 22nd. It will be good to see you on the losers` bench
  6. I had my surgery on 10/20. Home now and went to work yesterday. It was slightly painful and tiring. The running to the loo has to stop 4 days post op, according to my surgeon. You run because of the horrible liquid you drink whilst having your post op x-ray. Wishing all Oct. re-borns speedy recovery and those that are still waiting, good luck. In regards to the list, I`ll wait till the last day in Oct. to add myself back on it since I keep being dropped off it.
  7. Shar Pei and Nooshie, Congrats. You`re on the other side now. Already on the looser`s bench. NJ and akame, persevere with the liquid diets, although I feel like a fraud saying that since I did not have to go through that. My surgeon only requires 2 weeks low fat diet but I `ve done many a liquid diets so I know how difficult it is. The unfortunate aspect is that just as you get into ketosis (it gets easier then), you will have to come out again via the surgery. Come on, you can do it!!! akame, shares same op day with you. Deekel, good to hear tumor was nothing and op going ahead on Monday. Good luck to all of us yet to be banded.
  8. Congratulations, Guy, Question09 and all the other October Bandsters. A few of us still waiting to go in, so Good Luck to the rest of us.
  9. My op is scheduled for 10/20. Looking forward to it but the days and nights are moving too slow. Thankful though, that I was not put on liquid diet by my surgeon. Congrats to all the October Bandsters who have had their ops already. Good Luck to the rest of us.
  10. Yeah, my surgery is on the 20th and I can`t wait. My surgeon did not let me do liquid diet/ He advised I did low fat one. God knows I`ve done enough liquid diets to last me a lifetime. The various faddy diets which led to 2 decades of yoyo dieting. hope for good results for all of us.
  11. I`m new to the lap band community. I joined yesterday but thought I needed to express my gratitude for all your contributions on the site. I benefitted greatly from this reesource when I decided to go for the surgery. Reading the several forum discussios is part of the reason why I don`t have to bother you too much for info. Once again, THANK YOU. My op is on 10/20 so wish me luck, please. Good Luck also to all those having their ops done soon.
  12. Hi MJL, the feeling of being distracted sound normal to me. I`ve also been distracted a few times, among other emotional ones. It will pass soon for all of us. I will be thinking of you on the 21st from my hospital bed. You mentioned you were starting liquid diet on Sunday. Are you doing it for only 3-4 days? It does not sound as hallowing as those doing it for between 1 to 4 weeks. Good Luck. Okiegirl79, hopefully you are reading this post-op. congratulations. i can`t wait for mne on the 20th. It will be nice to hear about your progress. Hello again to you all.
