  1. Happy 44th Birthday TracyNYC!

  2. It is 3pm and I have been running all day and realized I never ate. So I make my shake and as I am sipping it I realize it tastes "off", not bad, just off. Realized I never put the protein powder in. LOL

    Weight Watchers????

Thanks.....I will think about it a bit more. And Cazzy? 237lbs? You are my idol! WTG!
  4. I am considering re-joining WW. I know better than to ever mention my band at a meeting b/c I was at a meeting pre-band where someone mentioned having WLS and did they crucify her. My reason for joining is that I NEED structure. I have always found the post op diet, while restrictive in some ways, to be too free for me. I also was unfilled on May 15 and am sort of at ground zero again here. I have had 2 small fills and am again in Bandster Hell. Being home this past week from school I am eating and eating b/c I can. No control. I am a slow loser and would join and quit WW b/c of my frustration level. So, I am not sure what to do here. I want to see the Psychologist at my surgeon, but she is $200 out of pocket per visit. That is not an option! I know WW has the Power Foods thing which seems to be high Protein foods, so maybe that will help.... I am so disgusted with myself. Any thoughts?
  5. I want to LOVE exercise and admit this has been an area I am very bad with. I talk myself into doing it, hate it and stop. I KNOW it will help with weight loss and I will feel better. But, I really hate it......

    Small Victory

    That is awesome......
  7. I had the same issue and had PA remove half of last fill. I did not take care of this issue properly a year aga and had a slip. It has been a roller coaster ride with my weight but am back on track.
  8. LOL This really made my night! You go and get yours!
  9. They usially put you out. I have had 2. Just a little sore throat and gassy/bloaty afterwards. The barium swallow is where you drink this stuff (kind of yucky) and then they take an xray. Drink and xray, etc. They track the flow of the drink and look for blockages or whatever they re looking for. Not awful, but not great either.

    Am I Normal?

The shoulder pain is gas. I was lucky and had none, but my doc said to take chewable gas-X if it happened. Walk, walk, walk. It moves the gas around and out. Pardon my frankness, but The first few months I was a farting machine, especially once I had some food. Sip the shakes slowly and I promise the depression will pass too. It is normal. Hang in there. BUT, if you really feel something is off physically or mentally, call the doctor. They are there for YOU.

  15. It was like that for me too. It eventually subsided. I think the odor is from all the protein. I was 'tooting' with every movement I made. I am a HS teacher so I was deathly afraid of farting in class. It never happened thankfully. My surgeon laughed when I explained that school was the reason I was so concerned and not that I thought something was wrong. I was re banded in March of this year and have not had the gas, but have been able to burp which I couldn't do after first band. Hang in there....
