  3. 2 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 2nd Anniversary janetsjourneytoslim!

  4. It has been awhile since I posted anything, not really liking this new website, is anyone else with me? I just loved the old one and I could keep up with all my buds on here, came here everyday and really got motivated, not even sure how to find my page anymore. Just an unhappy person with this site, I have joined Sparkpeople.com it is free and so much better, so do something Lap Band Talk! I am trying to manuver around in here, but it is hard for me.

  5. Well I had not weighed in a few days and so this morning I just jumped on the scales and already down 4 lbs! This band is working again. Or I think I should have said, I am working with this band again. I know what to do, I just have to do it, so here goes, 5 more by Dec. 31st, and then the New Years Goal will get set. Taking it one day at the time. We are expecting 20 degree weather in the Morning and on Thanksgiving Day is was in the high 70's so we are in clothing shock!...

  6. Getting in the Christmas Spirit now. I think it is time for a new outfit, maybe some new jeans and and red sweater? Feeling happy about where I am and where I am going. Got to get that last few pounds worked off now before the end of the year.

  7. Hi all, soooo sick of leftovers, so tonight I threw them all away, my husband said he did not want anymore of them. I did keep some of the Turkey, will make a salad tomorrow. Tonight I had Salmon and it was really good for a change. Drinking my water again today, getting back on track. Ready for the Christmas Season and the cooler weather too.

1 Year Anniversary and I Met my Gaol...with pictures!!

Did you have a problem with skin and are you going to have a tummy tuck or any of the other surgeries?? I weighed 267 when I started and still have about thirty lbs to go and then I am going to get a tuck, I think.. Did you weigh and measure the foods you ate and what calorie amount did you consume daily?? Just would like to get these last few lbs off.
  9. Not sure how to navigate yet on this new and improved Lapbandtalk website, but it sure looks nice. I think I am going to like it!!! Wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, and warn us WATCH out for the dreaded bread!!!

  10. :rolleyes:Well yes, Staying in God's Presence, that is the answer my friends. He helps us make all the important decisions in life if we will just rely on him and LET him help us. The Word says that if we abide in the presence of God, He will defeat our enemies, and hide us in the day of trouble. God's attention is on us, but we must keep our attention on Him to enjoy the fullness of His presence in our lives. We must invite God to be involved in everything we do, and then remember to praise Him for His goodness. And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will sing praises of the Lord. Psalm 27:6 My lesson from this today has opened my eyes, I know that there is not a battle I can NOT win or you either if we stay in his presence. I struggle with obesity! Even with the bands help, we need God's help everyday to live with this in our lives. People will try to sway you, your decisions, your efforts. There is jelousy to deal with, anger management, and we are impatient, but God is in our favor and in control. Praying for a peaceful day for all.

    Fourth Fill already?!

You may not need a fill, I did some skipping on the fills when I felt tight enough. Too full is not fun at all. Let me tell you. I am very tight now and it is hard for me to get in the necessary calories I need to lose weight and my gym membership is up and I have not renewed it yet so I am trying to find other ways to exercise till the first of the year too. I know I won't go as much over the holidays if I join now. Good luck and enjoy your trip to England, sounds exciting. Try some of the foods there or you will regret it. I went to Alaska on a cruise TOO TIGHT and could not eat hardly, I did not lose weight either cause I was not consuming enough calories. You are right on. Feeling this band in our bodies and how it controls us is a learning experience.

    Eating Question

After a few fills you will get "tight" or the band will restrict you more in that the opening to your stomach will get smaller and you will have to be careful of what you just eat or chew a little and try to get through that opening to your stomach. So learn now to slow down, and chew to get in the good habits of eating and living with the band. God Bless.

Lab results - I'm perfect - well almost

I feel the same way too. The compliments are nice, but the way I feel, and the meds I have shed, are so worth this journey, God Bless.
