  6. Hey there, thanks!!! I'm about a 12 now and feeling great. I still have 40 more pounds to go until my goal. Only tips are, i keep my calorie intake about 1000-1500 a day and work out about 5 times a week mixing up the cardio and the weights. How have you been doing?

  7. Never say never!!! Are you banded or in the process? It's hard work, girl, but you just have to focus and put your mind to it. The band only limits the amount of food in intake, but doesnt really limit the kind of food and it certainly doesn't take me to the gym every day. I admit, it gave me the kick in the toosh I needed, but it's up to you. You CAN do this! I'm proof.

  8. Hey there. Thanks for the compliment!!! 7 months ago I never thought I would be anyone to give any type of workout or dietary advice. As I progress on my journey, more have asked what it is that I do, eat, etc. Therefore, I wrote a blog to detail what it is I've been doing to help myself. I'm not an expert and learn as I go along, but so far so good. I'm happy with my progress, but there is always someone who lost more or is doing more, so its a learning process for us all.   9. Hey there, thanks for the compliment. I started off at 285 and am about 184 at the moment. I try and keep my calorie intake between 1000-1500 calories a day (i have a protein shake as a meal replacement for breakfast) and i was working out about 6 times a week, but now its down to about 5 since my weekends have become nutty. I try to mix it up with cardio and weights and work out for no less than an hour. I wrote a blog, so check it out on my page for more details.

  12. Girl, you know my life is full of madness, especially on the weekends and especially now that I have tons of things to plan...moving...wedding...etc. I'll be close to you soon though...probably by end of summer. Then for sure we will have to hang more.

  13. Hey there. Thanks for the compliments! You are too kind. I'm having a harder time in my stomach area with excess skin (my lower belly); however, I do have a kid, so that may have something to do with it also. I have a friend on here that we banded around the same weight and same body shape and she pretty much has a 6 pack (she has few months on me though...hehe). Also, I've noticed a little around my knee (bottom of my thigh), which my legs have always been a major trouble area for me.

     

    So, when is the big day for you? Having lapband surgery is the best decision I've ever made for myself!

  14. Hey girl, keep your head up! I remember I was in a lot of pain the first couple of days as well, but it will get better soon, I promise! each day is better than the last...and it is TOTALLY worth it! Getting the band is the best decision I've ever made for myself!!! Good luck and keep me posted on your progress.

  15. Hey lady. Well you look great and your hard work shows! Isn't spin class the best?! Love it. I love my protein shakes. Doc told me that maybe I should lay off them a bit since they go right through the band, but I know I'm not getting a lot of protein and nutrients otherwise, so I'm sticking with it if nothing else, for that. He said just ot make sure I eat protein at every meal, but sometimes I dont and either way, I'm not getting enough in me. One meal wont kill me. He said the same, he said it just doesnt do anything to fill me and thats why he doesnt suggest protein shakes. Each doc is diff. He tells me so may diff things than my original surgeon did (he moved). I think every body is different and you have to find what works for you. Glad to hear you're doing well :)

  19. Don't lose hope, girl, it CAN be done. In order to achieve maximum results, its not just about the diet. There's only so much the band can help you with. Exercise is key. Also, take lots of pics. It really helps you see your progression and keeps you focused. It also made me feel like I was holding myself accountable since I would take a pic a month of my progress.
