The sandwiche I tried to eat gave me a "fill". I guess drinking fluids for a couple of days would have been the answer. I'm much better now, and I will be getting my first adjustment Sat., November 7th. That' will be exactly 3 months after I was banded. It has been 3 weeks since I have lost weight, so I am excited.
That was my first glitch in this otherwise wonderful experience.

I have not even had my first fill, so I know that I don't need an unfill. I threw up a week or so ago for the first time, and ever since then I have sour stomach with some reflux. Should I be concerned?

I had heard of sliming, but got to experience it first-hand today. Visiting my home town of Chicago I decided to share a hot Italian beef sandwich with my sister. I had been dreaming about one for quite a while. Well... one bite and I was miserable. I actually ended up throwing up about 5 or 6 times. The only thing coming up was "slime". That is not something I want to experience any time soon. It took over an hour or so to feel okay, and I haven't really felt that great the rest of the day.:wink2:

Today is week 5, and I am feeling great. I have lost 22 pounds, but I have also come off my blood pressure medicine already.
What are most of you eating at this point?

My surgery went well, but I was in a lot of pain the first 24 hours. There was a lot of pressure behind my breastbone, and it hurt to breath. My surgeon said the second day would be the worst, but for me it was better. Today is sooooo much better. First two days I was counting the minutes until I could take more vicodin. Today, I have gone 6 hours without any severe pain. Hopefully, tomorrow I won't need it.
Today, I have felt well enough to really absorb what I have done and get excited about the future. I can't believe I actually did it.

The pain under my upper left rib has been frustrating. I was feeling so great until it started. It really takes my breath away when it happens. If I wrap my upper stomach with an ace bandage, it helps a lot.
My hunger is still under control. I went out for dinner with friends last night, and I was fine not eating. That's a miracle.

I have been feeling great and have lost 17 pounds in 2 weeks. Wednesday night when I sat on the sofa I had severe pain in my upper left stomach at the top of the ribs. It has hurt on and off since--sometimes severely. I saw the doctor yesterday and he thought the band may be rubbing on a muscle. Last night I started getting a fever. My doctors don't seem very concerned.

Only 3 days post banding, and I can't believe how much better I feel. The only pain is at the port incision when I bend over or twist somehow. Last night and this morning I felt dizzy, so I focused on drinking more fluids, and I feel so much better. I'm feeling hopeful!
