Banded 8/7/09

My surgery went well, but I was in a lot of pain the first 24 hours. There was a lot of pressure behind my breastbone, and it hurt to breath. My surgeon said the second day would be the worst, but for me it was better. Today is sooooo much better. First two days I was counting the minutes until I could take more vicodin. Today, I have gone 6 hours without any severe pain. Hopefully, tomorrow I won't need it.

Today, I have felt well enough to really absorb what I have done and get excited about the future. I can't believe I actually did it.

hey! I got banded the same day.. I'm feeling sooo much better today. I walked a lot and I think it helped the gas somewhat. Other than that just a little sore near my port. I hear that can take up to a month to fully heal but i can deal with that as long as there is no gas lol. What does our doc have you on? Im on chicken broth, S-F jello and S-F ice pops.. Hang in there. keep me posted on your recovery.

Thanks! I'm just figuring this out.

I was on clear liquids for the first 2 weeks. Now, I have added fudgesicles and n/f lite yogurt. I'm still not very hungry.
