knrpick LAP-BAND Patients September 12, 200916 yr Author stats Wow! Fabulous! I had surgery July 13, I love eggs, grits, lunchmeat with string cheese, greek yogurt, i gag down cottage cheese because of high protein...... Good luck in your journey!
imaluckydog LAP-BAND Patients September 12, 200916 yr Author stats I will not eat cottage cheese. I cannot stand the way it feels in my mouth. I know it has a ton of protein but YUK... I can eat just about anything I want too. If I chew it well. It must take me 30 to 40 minutes to eat. So my food get cold. I do not drink with meals. I have a hard time with and do not eat white or soft bread or bagels of any kind. I love eggs now and love greek yogurt as well. I was banded 11 weeks ago and have had 2 fills. I must say I am kinda tight. I am not sure if I am at what some call a sweet spot yet. Best wishes. imaluckydog Kathy
NINASCUSTOMER LAP-BAND Patients September 13, 200916 yr Author stats Thanks! Can you believe I'm allergic to eggs. I would eat eggs every morning if I could. At lunch I can eat very little, but by dinner I can eat much more. Have any of you had that experience?
meesh LAP-BAND Patients September 13, 200916 yr Author stats hi,,,thats great...congrats to you! i am 4 weeks tomorrow, and i also lost 22ibs....my port is a little sore when i bend still....but i am walking and trying to have protien...i am a vegetarian, so my choices are limited. Did you get filled yet?? do you need to, are you feeling full??
NINASCUSTOMER LAP-BAND Patients September 13, 200916 yr Author stats I get my first fill Monday, Sept 14th. I have lost 2 pounds in the last two weeks, so the weight loss has really slowed down. I know it's supposed to, but it was fun watching the scale go down every day while it lasted. I was feeling quite hungry last week, but this week I started eating regular meals, and I am feeling more satisfied. Now I am questioning whether or not I should get the fill. I'm sure getting the protein in is a challenge if you don't eat meat. I have considered giving it up. Maybe down the road.
