My next fill is 11/24 I hope it makes a difference! What do you eat on a typical day?

I had my surger 9/23/09 I had my first fill on 10/27.. 4cc I also feel hungry all the time! I have lost 20lbs since I was banded but that weight loss happened during the 2wks after surgery. Needless to say that I am sad I don't know what to do to get this band to work

My surgeon's office faxed BCBS (NY) my paperwork... I recieved a "pre approval" in 1 day. Now I wish getting an appointment with my surgeon was that fast (9-8-09) Anywhooo, Amy you will get approved.. positive thoughts bring positive results!

Yes, BCBS will then send your surgeon a pre approval letter which means you really "approved". With that letter the surgeon can get his money if the insurance company decides try and not pay him.... but thats another story. BCBS easy approval... Yay

Girls I can not wait to be where I want to be... I have lined up all my skinny jeans! I can not wait to fit back into my clothes... I am sick of wearing dresses! The only bad thing about this is that I find myself eating more lately b/c I have I am going to have the lap band :w00t:

BCBS won't deny you and the surgeon is in it to make money as well... I am sure we all have lost weight and then regain it... Just think b/c you don't want to start the process all over again in a few years! Nip this problem in the bud! Congrats on your weight loss... the Band is a tool to help you lose the weight and KEEP IT OFF Band-it-Damn-it

Hi All: I am 32 and my fiancee is not 100% supportive... he says he loves me the way I am... that I'm thich not fat and that I really don't need it. I think a lot of it is fear that I might become another person once the weight starts coming off. Truth be told... I love him and I will never stray Good luck to all. I have my final appointmeny with the surgeon 9-8-09 ... I hope getting my lap band soon! yay!

Thank you so much! I am so excited!!! I'm having surgery with Dr Bessler at NYPH/Columbia. Dr Bessler performs the one incision laparoscopic lap band so I am even more happy! YAY! Just Band it!

Hi there: Come in & admit the crazy things you did or thought of doing to get your insurance to pay for your lovely Lap Band... True Confession #1 I bought ankle weights to pack on the pounds... they looked ridiculous so I traded them in for diving weights... I have more confessions... let's swap! Yay! Few Things... I also have Empire Blue NY EPO and you no longer have to do the 6 month diet... you can double check online Empireblue.com they have the policy. My BMI is 30.2 but I am doing EVERYTHING I need to do to for my insurance company to pay.... I have completed every step except seeing the nutritionist which I am scheduled to see Aug 24th and then the real waiting game starts...

Hello NYC I think the fastest way is to do the seminar online... Columbia has great doctors and you can watch the seminar from the comfort of your own home (or from work like me). One less hurdle in this Quest for skinniness...
