Ideas for a fast paced single mom?
Ok, so I haven't been eating very healthy. I could say things like its because I am fast paced and a single mom, blah blah blah. But truth is, I know that these are choices that I am making. So does anyone have any ideas for healthy quick recipes or snack ideas? I have found that I do like the 100 calorie packs and there are so many to choose from, but I can't live on these alone and they are expensive. Anything would be helpful!

Possible erosion...
So last night I was in extreme amounts of pain at my port site. Its not red or infected or anything, but I decided to go see the dr today and he wants to do a scope to see whats up. He thinks my symptoms are probably some erosion or that my port has flipped (I didn't even know that was possible...) so pray for me, I am kinda freaked out.

Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Struggling and stressed, HELP!
Hi, I'm Danielle, I am 23 and divorced (about to get married again in february, long story.) I have an 18 month old little girl. We live with my parents right now and everyone in my house kind of does their own thing, so I don't really have a lot of support. I just need someone to help me through the hard times and for me to learn from. I have been banded 3 months and have lost 30 pounds, I have about 120 to go. I live in the Mobile, AL area so if you do too, I would love some advice and "mentoring" Thanks!

I haven't found ANYTHING I can't eat/ drinking while eating...
thanks for the help, it's appreciated greatly. I did not drink with my dinner tonight, and it did make a big difference, although it felt really strange. I didn't have a lot of preparation with the doctor before the surgery, so things weren't fully explained to me. I was never truly told what happened when you drank liquids while you ate, they just said it was better not to do it, so it wasn't really a big deal to me. But now that I know, I will definitely stop. I don't think that coming on here and saying 'you already know what you are doing wrong...'is productive, because obviously if i did, I wouldn't do it and I wouldn't be asking questions about it. I thought that's what this site was for, asking the experienced and supporting each other. Thanks though.

I haven't found ANYTHING I can't eat/ drinking while eating...
I was banded in September, and since I have been off the liquids, I have continued to eat pretty much anything I want. A lot less of things, but none the less, anything. Is this because I still am drinking while I eat, or are some people just like this? Also, I just feel like I cant stop drinking while I eat. I have tried a couple of times, but it just is too much of a habit. How did you stop? Also, I don't really feel a lot of restriction when I eat. Is this also because of the drinking water when I'm eating? I went for my first fill 2 weeks ago and the dr put 3cc's in. I thought I would feel more restriction, I didn't. My weight loss has been plateaued now for about 3 weeks. Any advice would be appreciated... Thanks

I just don't want to eat....
Thanks guys, I will try the pre-made shakes. I guess I just never thought about slim fast being protein...haha. Anyway, I appreciate it. And yall are right, I am in control. I do have to stop making excuses and just get to it.

I just don't want to eat....
Ok, so help me out here please. I just don't want to eat anymore. I have problems getting all the protein in, actually, I only get about 10% of the protein I am supposed to get everyday. It's just a chore for me to eat and I don't know how to get out of this habit I have started. Its like I have gone from overeating to just not being interested in food. Did anyone else go through this? Also, I can't seem to find the time in the day (being a working single mom and full time student) to make a protein shake. What should I do now? I feel like I have made a huge mistake because now its so crucially important for me to take care of myself and I can't seem to. HELP PLEASE!

Gaining weight before 1st fill...HELP!
I am so glad I found this thread today. It was exactly what I needed. I am so frustrated because I don't feel any different than I did before I was banded. I am HUNGRY. I am hungry ALL THE TIME. I got for my first fill on Oct. 13th. I hope that makes this all "real." It was real for a couple weeks after surgery, but then I wasn't sore anymore and I had my normal life get back in the swing of things, the band went to the back of my mind. It wasn't until today that I really realized that I probably need to make it a priority again. I haven't lost any weight in almost 2 weeks and I am so frustrated. It's nice to hear that I am not the only one completely frustrated with this whole thing.

Fail.
ok, I definitely will talk to my dr. Thank you all so much. I was afraid to post that because I thought everyone would chastise me, but you guys are great. Its so cool to have all of this support, especially since my family isn't that interested in what I am going through or doing. So thanks again, everyone!

Fail.
Ok, so, soup and pureed foods are completely making me sick. Just the thought of them make me sick. I don't know what to do. I have been eating small, soft items that I can chew to pureed consistancy. I don't know, I feel like I have completely fallen off the wagon and I am scared that I am going to stretch my pouch or cause my band to slip, but its like now that I have started eating again I can't stop myself. Its almost like I have lost interest in the band. Has anyone experienced this? I feel like such a failure.
