  1. I stayed at hospital for 6 hours after surgery. Someone must drive you home. I slept in the backseat and then went to bed when I got home. I was an hour drive
  2. Try gargling with warm salt water for a day and it should go away
  3. I will join you too. Thanks!
  4. Glad to help too. I am only 6 weeks post op with one fill
  5. I eat a lot of meals of chicken salad with Fat Free Mayo. Sometimes scrambled eggs. I am drinking some Protein bullets because it is to hard to get all my protein in.
  6. Congratulation Bill!! Hope all goes well with your surgery. Post afterwards and let us all know how you are doing. I have a 3½ month old granddaughter. . . they are so sweet at that age. If your wife is supportive to the procedure you have it made. Good luck tomorrow!!!
  7. I think everyone needs support. I still have not gone to a group because it is more than an hour away and it is at night. But I think I would really help me. Do you think it would have helped your experience in anyway?
  8. Nice to meet you too. Sorry you are having such a hard time I hope things get better for you:rolleyes:
  9. Okay maybe I posted without really thinking it through. Just a reaction to what I read after earlier in the day I read a sticky post about people being paid to talk bad about the lap band on this site. So it just kinda hit like that. Anway I am sorry to cause so much anger and bold typing. I take back what I said and ask you all to forgive my fast reaction and bad judgement in posting what I did. I will try not to police the threads in the future. I was not trying to scare anyone away. I would like to be friendly with everyone. Again, I am sorry:rolleyes:
  10. I do not think you have to tell anyone but those you want to know. It is a very personal choice, for your health and happiness. Don't set your self up for rejection or hurt if you think that is what will happen. You need to be in a good state of mind for your upcoming journey. Good Luck!
  11. I am not sure you should rely on this information, their not even sure how much they paid. Some people just like to make you think what they say is real. Research it really good for yourself and then research some more:rolleyes:
  12. 50 lbs is GREAT!! Don't give up now. I am only 6 weeks post op and only had one fill. People like you are a good example for us just starting out. Hang in there it will be so worth it. Make you some short term goals to meet. The holidays are coming and think how good you will feel with you new skinner self. Hang in there I am root'in for you!
  13. I am 6 weeks post op and I do not have any regrets. I agree with almost everyone else I wish I would have done this sooner. This is a very workable lifestyle it justs takes some effort. It is not something that you have to think about 24 hours a day, it does not become your life it adds to your life and helps you reach your goal. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to really change how they view food. Hope that helps
  14. I eat watermelon and count it as part of my meal and count it as a solid and wait to drink. So far no trouble eating watermelon. Will that change as I have more fills? I have only had one fill.
  15. I am 6 weeks post op and have been looking at books concerning Lap Band, can any one recommend one that is helpful for post op people. There are so many out there. Thanks!
  16. Liked the “nut” part, even if I knew what you mean:rolleyes:t.
  17. LuLu Wow you weightloss is great! Congratulations!!
  18. I did medifast a year ago but switch to “New Lifestyle” diet drinks. High protien but a few more carbs than medifast but taste better and cost less. They have their own website like medifast. After a while on medifast your skin starts to smell like soy. They have a really good high Protein hot chocolate
  19. I had my surgery on July 13 and first fill on August 11, since first fill I have not lost any weight. I have no physical hunger whatsoever, but I am eating 3/4 cup at 2 or 3 meals a day of protein with no snacks. I do not exercise everday but about 4 times a week. Could it be I am not getting enough calories? I was told by my Dr. do not drink my protein, but added the bullets a couple of days ago. Any ideas. I have lost a total of 20 lbs since surgery but most of it the weeks right after. Maybe stepping up exercise??
  20. I drink 2 cups a day of coffee. I was never told not to. I gave up my diet coke I am keeping the coffee.
  21. Thanks seeing we have the same surgeon and he probably told you something close to or the same as me, I will try them cause I know I am not getting even ½ the protein. Thanks again everyone.
  22. Catch yourself now while you have only gained a small amount. It is an easy correction, but if you let it go too far it will be harder. Come on you can do it you already lost 62 what is five more to get you on track. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
  23. I craved hot dogs. I could smell them. I wanted a hot dog burned on the grill covered with mustard. AndI hardly ever ate hotdogs before.
  24. Yes i did have to drink it but only a small amount. It was pretty neat.
  25. Thanks. My Dr. say not to drink my protein but how is it possible to eat that much protein a day with 3 meals/day and no snacks? I might try them. I tried the Isopure but too much to drink. Anyway agin thanks for the information.
