  1. You're right. I will probably end up financing it.
  2. Yeah, that kinda bothers me too. I'm just trying to weigh (LOL) all my options. But the lap band is my first choice. I'm just wondering about the long term effects of the band. I heard people don't really have any problems until like the 1-3 year mark. Have you heard that?
  3. My insurance company doesn't pay for any WL surgery. So it's just a formality the surgeon goes thru.
  4. Hi Robin, Thanks for the info. I'm in Grand Junction, but grew up in Farmington. What made you decide to do the band? I'm kinda torn on whether to do the band or the sleeve. Thanks again!
  5. Hi!! I noticed your posts about Dr. Kirshenbaum. I looking into using him for my banding. He seems to be fairly inexpensive and close to me. I'm on the western slope. I was just wondering if you could give me some pros and cons on the whole experience. I've noticed you are an awesome blogger. LOL! Any info. would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Shannon:smile:
  6. Did you use Dr. Sawyer? I'm in Grand Junction and I'm considering him. What did you think of him and his staff?
  7. Hi All, Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Shannon. I'm looking into getting the lap band done. I just went for my consultation and I'm waiting for my insurance to deny me. I haven't decided how hard I want to fight them, or to just finance it. I would love to hear from anyone who's got any good suggestions. I'm also looking for someone to tell me the pros and cons about the whole experience. I want to have this surgery done regardless. I have a two year old whom I really want to experience life with. Any info is GREAT appreciated. Thanks, Shannon:smile:
