Intro.....

Hi All,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Shannon. I'm looking into getting the lap band done. I just went for my consultation and I'm waiting for my insurance to deny me. I haven't decided how hard I want to fight them, or to just finance it. I would love to hear from anyone who's got any good suggestions. I'm also looking for someone to tell me the pros and cons about the whole experience. I want to have this surgery done regardless. I have a two year old whom I really want to experience life with. Any info is GREAT appreciated.

Thanks,

Shannon:smile:

Why will your insurance deny you?

My insurance company doesn't pay for any WL surgery. So it's just a formality the surgeon goes thru.

I see. Then if it is excluded from your policy, fighting it won't do you any good. An exclusion means you aren't paying (or your employer or whomever) for that type of coverage. Fighting it will just waste your time.

Good luck if you decide to finance it! :crying:

You're right. I will probably end up financing it.
