  1. Happy 29th Birthday CJ1014!

  2. 2 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 2nd Anniversary CJ1014!

  3. Hi I just saw you were banded in Delaware, I was too by Dr. Irgau last month. How is it going? When did you get your first fill? Did you weight come off faster once you were filled because I am dying here not really seeing any results and being so hungry.

    Thanks

    Heidi

  4. Thanks... how are you doing?

  5. CJ1014

    Just a few

  6. I have the Mirena IUD and my doc said that once it has been removed for atleast 6-8 weeks...there should be no problems in conceiving. Hope this helps.
  7. You look amazing! Congratulations. You are what keeps us "newbies" going! Keep it up! :w00t:
  8. Hey your welcome!!!! this is my thoughts on fills people think that a fill is like some rite of passage I mean think about it doctors schedule the first one 4-6 weeks out from surgery, they're cashing in big time on this ,most of us are still on soft foods so of course we're hungry the food is just sliding through, mashed potatoes and applesauce is not going to fill us up.

My surgeon said he wanted me to challenge my band not baby it and he says how great if you're losing a pound or two a week and still eating the foods you love

Would getting a fill speed up weight loss... probably but I for one will not live off of slider foods because that's all I could get down...

So I try and focus on chicken breast fish, pork chops hard boiled eggs and stuff like that and I walk 2.5 miles every day.

At some point I will need a fill but for now I am enjoying the ride.

I will send my email in a private message use it anytime!!!!!

To Fill or Not to Fill?

I love hearing about what everyone else eats and does for exercise and their suggestions. Thank you so much for this!

To Fill or Not to Fill?

Thank you all for your suggestions/opinions! I really appreciate it! :smile2:I went ahead and canceled my fill appointment for Tuesday. They rescheduled it for Sept. 15 but told me that if I felt that I needed a fill before than to call and they would get me in with one of the other doctors. To Jodi-thank you for the Lap Band Green Zone info! :scared2: To Bethanyblondie- Wow almost 3 months and 30lbs without a fill? That's awesome! Congrats! :tt1:
  12. Oh geez, I'm sorry to hear that! Hope you can get it under control! That really sucks!! =[

  13. They sorta kinda worked out I guess. The tests came back fine but I'm still too friggin tight with acid reflux and I know it's acid reflux but she won't listen to that. I'm just gonna start taking prilosec on my own.

  14. I was banded on 7/7/09. My post-op appointment was on 7/28/09 and the doctor allowed me to graduate to pureed foods. The doctor told me at the post-op appointment to come back in 2 weeks if I was hungry in between meals...if I'm not hungry she said to wait an additional 2 weeks to come back for a fill. So my question is, should I get the first fill as scheduled on Tuesday (to possibly lose a little more weight) or wait the extra 2 weeks? I'm not hungry in between meals...actually I'm only hungry when I first wake up in the morning. When I do eat I eat maybe 2-3 oz of food and feel great. This is all new to me so I would love to hear any suggestions/opinions.
  15. Hey girl, just wanted to see how things were going with you. Last time we talked you may have had a dilated pouch. Hope things worked themselves out!
