  1. I was the same way until my last fill. Now I truly feel like the band is working the way I thought it would. I am now seeing that I have to chew my food up and take small bites. The amount of food I can eat is much less. It took 3 fills for me and 4 weeks of not losing weight.
  2. The first couple of days were tough but it gets better. I found that if I mixed some instant coffee and splenda in the vanilla shake and blended with ice it is wonderful!! Day 3-4 was the hardest but it's all worth it. I was so happy that in 2 weeks I lost 13 lbs! That's would have taken me 6 months to lose any other time. Hang in there!! I'm 11 days post op and down 21 lbs since I started the pre-op diet! Good luck!
  3. Thanks for asking this questions! I'm 8 days since surgery and mine are still on too. I saw my surgeon 2 days ago and he said just to leave them alone and they will eventually fall off but they are itching!
  4. Congrats! The day I got my approval call I just couldn't believe it was actually going to happen! Good luck!!
  5. Thanks for all of your replies! I was so stressed I ended up calling my doctor's office and they said just what all of you told me. If there was a problem I would have know within 10 minutes! It's so weird, since eating those grits at 8:30 this morning I was feeling full until around 4:30 this afternoon! I love that this may be what the future looks like!!!
  6. :confused:I need some reassurance! I must have mis-read my eating guidelines. I am 7 days post surgical and I thought on my Phase II of eating I could have grits. My instructions actually say Hot Cereal. I hade about 1/4 of a cup of grits this morning for Breakfast. They were very thin and soupy but now I'm scared. I don't want to mess anything up and damage anything. Did anyone eat anything like this this soon? Thanks!

  8. I'm also having surgery on the 25th. Very excited, can't wait for it to be over. Have been on an all liquid pre-op diet for almost 2 weeks. It's been tough but I know it will be worth it! Good luck!
  9. Thanks for all the replies!! So great to know I'm not the only one who has these issues. I have my first appt. with the surgeon next week to start my 6 month's. I am so excited and all of the encouraging things I have read on here really help!
  10. I am just starting out in my journey but have planned to not share that I am having Lap-band surgery. I am only telling my family and a few close friends. Several people I work with have made negative comments about weight loss surgery and how it is cheating. I just don't feel like I need to share my story with them. Did you tell co-workers and friends?
