I don't know your lifestyle, but I think P90X might be a bit advanced for someone only 4 months out from this surgery. That's a pretty intense workout regimen.

My surgeon said that walking would really be all it takes, but I don't agree with that. There are two key components to losing weight with exercise:
    1) Fat-burning Cardio - you need to work out and keep your heart rate at 55% - 70% of your maximum heart rate for 30 minutes a day.
    2) Weight Training - you need to be some weight regimen. You don't have to kill it and get super bulky, but muscle burns more calories than fat.
So if you are only doing Cardio - you are burning less calories than you would be if you were also adding some muscle. Another great thing to do is swimming or just walking in Water. The extra resistance will make you burn more calories than regular walking. Also, your body will burn calories by trying to keep your body temperature at 98.6 degrees.
If you can't go to a gym, get a Biggest Loser workout DVD. They have great exercizes you can do at home with little equipment. You might need to get a couple of 10lb weights, but that's about it. They combine cardio and weight training.
    Just some thoughts.

I just wanted to let you know that it is DEFINATELY worth it to convert the band to the sleeve. There is no more worrying about slipping, or leaking. The surgery was even easier then the lap band surgury. I had the lapband for 4 months and realized it was going to be a lifetime of problems. With the sleeve, most of the stretchy part of the stomach is removed so you don't have to worry about stretching it much and also you have a natural feeling of full. There is no heart attack feeling when you eat too much. I've also lost double the weight in 4 months then I lost with the band. I am so happy I made this decision.

It is so strange how sizes run. I have lost 75 pounds, but have only gone fom a 26 to a 24. (And some of the 26s still fit, and some of the 24s are still too small. One pair of 22 jeans fit.)
You'd think with that much weight loss, there would be a bigger change in sizes. I dream of the days when an 18 will fit!

To those wondering "will this happen to me" ...
Yes. I was anxious and scare before surgery. Today I tried on size 10 jeans. I won't stop until size 5 jeans fit me. That is how I look hot.
I know, I know...shallow and superficial...but let me enjoy my moment. Let me associate the word "hot" next to my name. I need this.

MsFab1988 reacted to Nursebarbie in if I read about another stall Imma pull my hair out!
Personally I find everything on here either informative or at least entertaining. People feel safe here to voice their innermost thoughts and that is amazing. We admit our flaws, our flub ups, our fears, our exact weights with each other. How many of your friends know how much you weigh? Instead of being annoyed, be a voice of gentle encouragement. Sometimes venting and getting related feedback from the others here may be more helpful than you know. Right now this site is invaluable to me. Other than my husband I don't have much support. This is the place where we all learn the reality of having a sleeve. This stuff isn't in books. I say that's great!

Thats very true and well said. I think many people just have a fear of failing which is normal. We tried everthing in the books and nothing seems to work. So after under going weight loss surgury, some want to see rapid results....Realistically, the only right thing to do is just follow doctors orders and the weight will come off...Dont be surprised as to why ur not losing weight if your eating carbs and not enough protein! I had to seriously get rid of the carbs and listen to my doctor to lose this weight. I prob would have lost even more if I realllyyyyy listened to him lmao but no one is perfect we all make mistakes...I'm only 20 pounds away from my goal. Although Im not losing weight, I am losing fat and gaining muscle. I will never question why Im not losing weight or why im in a stall because I already kno the answer! And I already know how to get back on track..Always speak to your doctor when you feel like things arent working well, there is always a reason behind it..Just dont panic
