  1. I was banded on September 11th, had my first fill yesterday. I have lost 22lbs, and when the scale did not move a couple of weeks ago I was not happy. But then I pulled out the measuring tape and I had lost an inch or more everywhere, so sometimes you need to look at different things and not just the scale. Good job and good luck.
  2. Thank you all so much for the wonderful advice.
  3. I have my first fill on 10/14, my surgery date was 09/11. My fill will be under xray. Friday I start on regular food and this weekend should be feeling better to start exercising again. Good luck to all.
  4. I would recommend a book my minister gave me and my second husband before our wedding called "The Five Languages of Love". We both agreed had we had that book in our first marriages we may never have gotten divorced. It works best if both of you read it and work it. But if you husband wants a better marriage I am sure he would do this. Good luck, and great job on the weight loss.
  5. Since surgery on 09/11 it has been hard for me to get in all my water. With the restrictions on when you drink before and after you eat and not drinking too much at one time I am having a hard time with this. Any tips?
  6. I was banded on 09/11/09 there was more pain than I had expected and so IV issues but i am starting to feel better. Though my my doctor says my blood count is down so I have to start on iron and only able to back to work next week on half days. Also, today i started on pureed soft foods, I have had egg, scrambled, 1 tablespoon sweet potatoe, and cottage chesse for snack and so far so good. My doctor tells me once on solid foods this is what fills up the pouch and keeps you full, where the liquids go straight through you so you are always hungry. Though the week after surgery I was not hungry much at all and had to force myself to have my protein drinks. This is my first post wishing everyone well and lots of luck.
  7. I was banded 9/11/09 and luckily did not have any vomitting but lots of pain. And today at my post-op appointment found out my iron is down which is why I have been so tired and bruising. I have lost 12lbs since surgery date and have a friends that keeps telling me it is worth it so hang in there.
  8. This month I have my last doctors appointment and my sleep test. Hoping to have surgery early September, nervous but excited. I have 100lbs to lose.
