  1. Ive been on anti-depressents on and off since college. I started taking them again approx 2 months ago because I couldn't function. If you think you really need it, try it and see if you gain, lose or stay the same. It won't hurt to try, but if you don't then you dont know if you may feel better with the meds. If your feeling that depressed or anxious its not going to help the process and the ability to get moving and excercising!

I know what you mean about not feeling like yourself...losing this much weight does that to your head. But the biggest blessing of it all is that WE get to reinvent ourselves and our body!!! WE get to become a new person, physically, mentally and emotionally!!

  2. Dont worry about the horror stories! Follow the plan, use the band as a tool! You will be fine! Stay focused and positive, this will change your life!! I've lost 135 pounds and was banded about a year and a half ago. When I went in for surgery I had the mind set that I went under one person and woke up a different person! Everyone has bad days and good days as I did and I am sure you will too, but the bad days pass....focus on the bigger picture...which is you losing the pounds!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!! =)

  3. 2 pounds a week is good! dont push for more...you still need to be able to eat a decent amount of food to keep your body going. filling too much too soon could make the band tight and it could make you sick....keep at this pace, keep doing what your doing...remember slow and steady wins the race and keeps it off!!! =) congrats on the 30 pounds so far!

  4. GOOD FOR YOU!!! Good for you that you are starting now to change habits!!! Taking the steps now to change habits will make your success with the band that much greater! I changed so manyt things before I had surgery and I feel that thats whats helped me drop 135 pounds. Keep up the great work....it takes time but it is def worth it in the long run!!

I take peanut butter crackers with me to work in case i get hungry between lunch and dinner...but I eat lunch at 1030am. I cant begin to tell you how many things taste different and smell differently since i had surgery. Any sort of juice tastes super sweet to me. I can totally relate to what you were saying! Dont listen to your co worker...everyone is different!!! Do what feels good to you and your tummy, listen to your instincts!!! There is nothing wrong with turkey and swiss!!

anyway keep up the hard work!!! you can do it!! your on the right path!!!
