Disappointed in Myself
Don't give up! You may want to go into the Dr. and get a fill and see how things go. I just had a fill (4th one) today and am at 6.8 in a 10CC band. I had begun to gain because I didn't go back when I first noticed I was getting hungry and eating the wrong things. So I'm back on liquids for 24 hours and then mushies for a day or two. That always jump starts weight loss for me. I was banded 9/08 and have lost 37 pounds. I was getting discouraged, but the Dr. says that is still doing well. I think we all just get too high of expectations. I am just glad I have lost what I have lost and hope to keep going down. Be good to yourself. I am going for a walk.

Fills, Eating Out...Rants of Frustration
Tracye, I think you are really doing very well. I just got a fill today, bringing me up to 6.8. So I am on liquids for 24 hours and then mushies for a day or two. That always jumpstarts my weight loss. I had waited too long to get this fill and started gaining some weight, so now I have to loose that before I really feel like I will be making any progress 38 pounds since March is really more than 9 pounds a month and they usually only recommend about 1 -2 pounds a week. Feel good about yourself, Jeane

Thanks, Debbie: Yes, I know at age 56 it is pretty impossible to expect to have turned my habits completely around in about 9 months! I do appreciate all of you on here that know what it is like and are so encouraging. Thanks, Jeane- New to web site
Hi all, I was just introduced to this web site yesterday and am thankful you are all here. I had my lap band surgery 9/29/08 My lap band surgeon is Dr. Michael Trehan at Martha Jefferson hospital in Charlottesville, Va. I lost 41 pounds but have regained about 5 falling into old bad habits. I hope to get a fill in the next week or two. Jeane:blush:- In need of a fill
Sorry, Mary! It should have read 9/29/08- Today I'm coming back to the place I need to be
I have been playing around with my weight and food again the last couple of weeks. I am at 6.4CM in a 10CC band and that was as of last March 29th. I definitely need a fill and to get back to my exercise. Weight is beginning to creep up and I am starting not to feel very well. Don't want the diabetes to start acting up!- Today I'm coming back to the place I need to be

I am new to this Forum and it has come to me at a very good time. I had my surgery 9/29/09. I had lost 42 pounds but the past few weeks have been in need of a fill and haven't gone to get it. So I am up 5 pounds. Going to contact the Dr. Office on Monday - fill-to do or not to do?
