wow, those experiences are horrible!! My first one was bad but not that bad! My second was a breeze though, and I am back on solids now and doing fine. I had meat loaf and mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli for dinner and everything went down fine :success1: Tomorrow is my 25th birthday, lets just hope I dont over do it!

Thanks for your input about the wedding and thank you for your prayers! I havent decided what to do yet though.... I had my second fill today, it was a surprise....I went in for a regular visit and it had only been two weeks since my last one and I weighed in 6.5 lbs less than 2 weeks ago!! I was so excited and I thought for sure he wouldnt want to do a fill but he did....I now have 1.6cc and I am on Clear liquids tonight and full liquids tomorrow then I just have to be careful and it kinda sucks because my birthday is Thursday and I was looking forward to going to one of my favorite resturants, Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago, and now who knows what I'll be able to eat, but o-well it will keep me from overeating right?? I will keep everyone posted as to if I have any problems with this fill (my second) so far so good...

Okay so my goal for Oct was 10 lbs and I lost 7... not too bad I guess....Also I had to change my ticker, I was using my old scale for that tally and that origional weight so I just decided to use my Drs origional weight and total now..... kinda depressing since it makes me weigh more but my total loss is still getting higher so thats good. I added my myspace link for anyone who uses myspace, I'd love to be friends! I keep posting my new pics there and I am leaveing some of the old ones up so my friends can see the difference. I had a bit of a set back with my wedding this week also, my best friend and one of the groomsmen has been deployed to Iraq. He leaves on the 13th and wouldnt be back in time for the wedding, he will be back in exactly one year (we hope) and I'm considering moving my date back about 6 weeks so that he can be here for it. I know its only 6 weeks but I've been planning for 10 months for an Oct wedding and now it would be a Dec wedding, big difference! I would change the colors and everything for a wintery feel. I love him though and I want him to be there so I guess its worth it....any opinions????

Bug: I also had to buy a new scale, my old one became unpredictible, one time it said I lost like 5 lbs in 2 hours lol then the next day I had gained 7....anyway, I figured it was broke and got a new one, digital and it is closer to the Dr's, only 1.8 lbs different but it says I weigh more so I've decided to move my ticker back to 40 lbs lost because I dont think I actually lost those last 2 :girl_hug: I cant complain though, I've still lost a good amount and when I went in on monday they took my measurements again and I've lost a total of 10.5 inches and I've gone down 2 full sizes on top and 3 in pants! FYI: I found this interesting....My Dr did tell me not to be so obsessed with the lbs right now he said I'm in a phase where I'm gaining back my water weight but I'm still losing inches and he says this is totally normal for people who lose a ton right away in the begining so I'm not going to stress about my scale stall, who cares as long as my clothes get smaller

pre-op weight definately counts, 2 weeks of liquids is the hardest diet I've ever been on, I deserve those 17 lbs LOL

For now I am keeping mine, I want to be able to put them on later and see how big they are! Also, my Aunt is thinking about having the surgery and my big pants might be good for her when she starts losing so I'll keep them till then... I'm sick and I'm miserable, I normally take claradin (sp?) for allergies but the pill is too big now, anyone else have allergies?? Do you take anything over the counter?? I need relief!

I've been using the mederma also, from day 7 lol and it seems to really help it heal, but not so much take the scar away.... but I use it anyway, things take time. I am cheering right along with you on the weight loss!! I had a five lb loss yesterday and today I took back my wedding dress to David's Bridal because I told them I had lost 40 lbs and there's no way it was going to fit next year and they let me come in.... Originally I had a size 24 and it was a tight fit....today I fit comfortably into a size 20!!!!!! :clap2: I ended up having a conversation with the alterations lady and she wanted me to try on an 18, when I did it was about 2 in from zipping at the top but did zip 1/2 way and hook!!!!!!!! :clap2: So she had me take the 18, and let me know that it can be sized down to a 14 if necessary, so I'm going all out! I saw myself today in the 360 mirror in a dress that 6 months ago I could have only dreamed would fit and I wanted to cry. I could see so much change in that moment in my gown that I was amazed. I can't wait until my wedding day when I can stand there in my dress and know I look my best... we are truly blessed to have this opportunity and today I think I realized that to its full potential for the first time.....

Libra, I started out in a 24 (or a stretch 22) and now I'm in a 20 (or a stretch 18) so is that two sizes?? I actually went out today and bought a size 16 slightly stretch and they ALMOST fit so I plan to be wearing them by christmas!

My scale is also lower than my Drs but only by 4 lbs, so I go by mine naturally This morning I weighed in and I have lost 5 lbs!! YAY!! I guess my first fill really is working! I only have to lose 3 more to make my Oct. goal of 8 Thanks for the defination Faybie, I didnt know what I PB was either! I guess I would be considered a fast loser so for the one who asked... What I eat in a day, I am actually keeping an online food journal on livejournal.com and it helps me to keep track. I'd say I eat about 1000-1200 cal per day and it ranges because it depends if I work that day lol Working at starbucks is fantastic but being around Pumpkin Spice lattes and Mochas all day can get tempting! But I have found that I can usually limit myself to a small sugar free vanilla latte made with skim.... I try to eat protein filled foods, breakfast is either a protein shake or a bowl of cherrios, a typical lunch for me is one of those tuna lunch packs, it comes with 6 crackers, tuna, mayo (low-fat) and relish (which does have sugar but you can leave it out) and that usually satisfies me till dinner, and dinner is whatever I make for my fiance ( which can be tacos, burgers, whatever...) except I eat way less than I used to and I cut out the bread, like if I make tacos I have hard corn shells, burgers I have no bun ect... I hope this helps!

Also, for those who were wondering, my snacks between meals are usually healthy, peanuts, cheese cubes, a peice of fruit but sometimes I do get those carb cravings!! Today I had six crackers for a snack with my cheese cubes But I know that every so often its okay...

I got something stuck last night, we had a bon fire and everyone was eating smores and I thought I'd have just one marshmellow, bad idea....It was stuck all night, never came back up but it was not pleasent, I sipped a cup of hot tea and went to bed, in the morning I felt better but I couldnt even eat a banana at 10am w/o feeling sick again, but dinner went down fine so I think I'm okay now but I will be staying away from marshmellows from now on!

I was also filled on 10/02 for the first time and I had NO restriction until about 2 days ago, then all of a sudden I could barely eat again! Its weird because you'd think that you'd have a lot up front and then it would fade but its the opposite.... I have noticed that I can't eat much at one sitting but I still get hungry about 3 hours later so I feel like I'm eating small amounts all day long, is anyone else having this???

okay so I am pretty sure that the fill is working, I never had a problem eating pasta until today, nothing came back up but it gurgled like it wanted to!! I only got in about 4 small bites of pasta and I was full, before the fill I was eating like 1/2 cup (and about 2 cups presurgery LOL) I was worried that the fill wasnt going to work since he took some out but I think it is really helping! I am trying not to weigh myself as much anymore and I havent since Monday!!!! Its hard but I think it will be rewarding when I get on again...

okay so I just got home from my first fill and it wasn't exactly fun.... The Dr put in 1.8cc in my 10cc band (it didn't hurt at all!!) and had me drink some water. The water made me get a lump in my throat so they decided they needed to take some out. When he started to draw out the needle started acting funny and he said it had slipped out of the port.. and that my port was slightly tilted. Then he tried to get it back in and the needle broke! It hurt soooo bad..... Then he got a new needle and started all over, he withdrew all of the saline and realized that he lost some during the slip and then just put everything he had back in which he says was just over 1cc.... I got up and drank more water, which went down fine and then I was able to go home yay! The only thing that bothers me is that I really dont know if I could have handled more saline since he lost some in the slip, I was hoping he'd leave me at 1.5cc but instead I have just over 1 ... I guess that could be better, I'll go slow and easy on learning this band thing... Just thought I'd share :car:
