    I have days when I can eat a lot. But if I eat Protein first I am full. slider foods are slider foods. I need to stay away from trigger foods> crackers whole wheat, rice crackers, choclate, candy...no wonder I gained weight! on the path again. loggoed my food for 2 days now. I am going back to once a month weigh in till I get back to 127!

    Been doing good still have be mindful. Put on some 131 like to be closer to 125. Off sugar need to slow down with carbs Wheat thins are soooo easy to eat! Don't know what 5:2 is will look it up. Over 3 years and still love this sleeve. I know I will be back closer to 125 before it would have been a flash and gain gain gain. Still struggle with Protein done with the "manufactured" stuff powder, bars chicken is my staple and eggs (sometimes they don't set well with me) Also eat grains that have protein. Need to "log" in food to get my protein up. Visual person! Hope all is well Oregondaisy

    in the beginning I weighed once a month! It is not all about the scale. I look at myself as a retired dieter. Yes I watch my food but after 3 years I have maintained. my very best advise is FOLLOW YOUR PLAN!

    Vascular intervention for spider veins is pretty simple. Do you have vericose veins? Insurance will pay for most of that it is a Same day procedure. Find a place that specializes. Hope you find what you need. Go for it!!!

    Thanks for sharing your recipe.Alas I don't eat onions (allergy) so it really limits food choices. All the veggies burger and "crumbles" I have seen have onions. Can't even find vegetable broth without onions! Onward to Vegan world

    Like this thread. Been exploring different foods made quinoa with vegetable broth. Got some firm tofu, going to "fry" it in peanut oil. I am excited about making this work for me. I do have some food issues I DO NOT do onion, garlic or peppers.
    I am going to find a soyburger recipe (I used to make them back in day when I was "into" health food)
    Please post any recipes would love to try chili.

    Like this thread. Been exploring different foods made quinoa with vegetable broth. Got some firm tofu, going to "fry" it in peanut oil. I am excited about making this work for me. I do have some food issues I DO NOT do onion, garlic or peppers.

    I have problems with dairy after my sleeve. I have been looking into a Vegan food plan. Posted Vegan topic no replys. It is hard to get Protein without dairy. I am on a new journey of clean eating. Getting off the artifical sweeteners.I do not eat very much processed food and never eat fast food (never did). Keep us posted on your progress..

    There hasn't been much talk in here, but I thought I would drop a note and let you all know that I set my surgery date for march 5th and will be flying to San Diego on the 4th. It's all set and I start me pre-op diet next tues. Im going with Dr. Quionens.
    Im VERY excite, but nervous too. I started out in the group under 200, but at this point Im about 205, should drop a little the next 3 weeks.
    SO glad I have made this decision.

    I didn't pick a BMI I let my body tell me when I felt truly comfortable in my skin. Good advice "take it as it comes".
    Just relax, follow your plan (find one that works for You!), and last stay off the scale try to weigh monthly.
    (AND keep logging/postng on VST)

    First CALM DOWN. Make an appointment with your Primary care provider if you don't have one get one. This is a journey keep a food log (r u getting enough Protein?) The Fluid will leave your body give it some time! Stay off the scale for a month and DO i.e. log the food and get exercise if you can. Keep checking in here.
    YOU LOST ALMOST 60 LBS. You are doing this!!

    you are doing great! Like the idea of staying off scale that really helped me try once a month. It is very freeing. Just focus on your eating plan. Plan what to eat and eat what you plan and you too will be in a body you can live in

    Pasta has the made me sick (puke) maybe that is a good thing, I stay away from it! Same with ice cream. Who knew?
    I try to focus on getting Protein in that is challange enough for me.

    This all depends on how you define "normal". If "normal" means being able to shove 1500 calories down your throat in one sitting or always getting the biggest size popcorn at he theater. Or maybe "normal" is being winded after climbing 1 flight of stairs. Then NO, Thank God, I will never feel "normal" again
    I'm gonna be like my weirdo friends that actually climb mountains for recreation. You know, those crazy people that don't need to grab a candy bar & a soda every time the put gas in their car. Those oddballs that can walk by a box of donuts and not grab one(or 2 or 3 or 4). What about those nut jobs out there on Seadoos jumping waves and having fun.
    Nah, in a country where 65% of the population are overweight, and over 1/2 of those are obese(38% of the population), I for one do NOT want to be normal.
    Put me with the 35% minority, because that is where I'm heading. Excuse me for putting it so bluntly, but "normal" sucks.
