  1. oh dear, *sigh* yes, i feel your pain.. I LOVE chicken too and i simply cannot eat white breast mean anymore. It just gets stuck and i pb. Also i would advise you not to eat the skin as that caused me great problems. As many wonderful wise people above have told you, if you moisten the chicken, it would greatly improve the chances of you being able to eat it again! (fingers crossed!) Maybe you can make some gravy? Hope this helps and that you are back eating your favorite chicken asap! Best Wishes
  2. How many calories should i consume per day? I have read so many contradicting figures! I am onto solids now and i eat about 800 ish calories a day.. What do you all think? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Best wishes!
  3. From one Olivia to another... hello and welcome to the loosing side - BANDLAND!! Congrats on your surgery and i hope you have a speedy recovery.. Look forward to chatting to you in the future! Best wishes

  5. It is pretty hard to act ladylike around my lovely boyfriend when i am making all kind of noises! If its not a burp or a toot, whilst i'm eating, my tummy and throat make weird gurgling sounds!! So yeah.. i'm part of the farty butt club, as nightingale so delicately put it! yay!
  6. I know this post was started forever ago but thank youuuu funny for letting us all know about this diet! I've just used the soup recipe and ate it for lunch and snacks and have a healthy supper... and i must say it is delicious! My parents are sneaking bowlfulls out when they think my back is turned! The best part for me is that i never eat vegetables and this is a FAB way of making sure i eat lots of them! So, i've boarded the soup train! I have my ticket ready for inspection and i'm looking forward to arriving at my destination with all my beautiful lbt friends! Best wishes to all
  7. Oh no! Poor poor thing. I will be thinking of him and hoping and praying that things go ok for him.
  8. OO OO I'm on myspace!! If anyone wants to add me then feel free http://www.myspace.com/mischiefmanaged23 It would be lovely to chat to lap band buddies here and there!
  9. SUCH a show off hehehehe! Wish i was still a pb virgin too! My family were politely pretending to feel sorry for me whilst in reality they were cross with me for putting them off their food! tee hee!
  10. ugh yes! That was the one that took the longest to feel better! As the others have advised, it is painfull as it is stitched in place to the muscle so it would hurt more! It WILL go away too! thank goodness! Hope you feel better soon xx

  14. Hello! I am just wondering if their are any others like me who have been banded and are in the london area? Or even uk? It would be lovely to have other people that are locall and in the same situation as me! Best wishes
  15. Good for you! Bet that felt great! Congratulations!
  16. Eww yeah i have to give myself an injection to prevent blood clots.. one a day for 11 days after my surgery, so tomorrow is my last one which i am VERY pleased about as its nasty and the stuff u have to inject stings!! This seems to be common practice after wls here in the UK...
  17. Woo hoo! Welcome to bandland! The liquid stage is horrible but boy does it make you appreciate even the small portions of mushy food we get to eat at the next stage!! Best wishes!
  18. Tell me about it! I keep getting so grumpy when i feel hungry.. its hard not to take it out on everyone!! I just keep thinking of the end result! Well everyone has to go through this so as mean as it sounds, i'm glad i'm not the only one!
  19. thank you very much! To you too!
  20. Yippie! I've finally got my lovely sparkly band fitted! Exactly a week ago i was feeling pretty much petrified as i drove to the hospital! Now, a week on its all over and most of my pain has settled down.. the only problem is that as you all fondly remember, i am on the dreaded liquid diet and its not that i want to stuff myself, i just crave something that feels filling and the liquid just makes me feel sloshy and hungry shortly after.. i was wondering if any of you have any ideas please? I also wanted to say that i really admire each and every one of you that has had the band fitted.. it certainly isnt the easy option that some label it as. Whatever your target weight, YOU CAN DO IT!! Best Wishes to everyone
  21. ooo i want to go on the sex month diet! Wooo!
  22. OO I had my op on wednesday the 5th of July too! I hope u are feeling slightly better now. I feel alot better and just in slight pain. Actually i would call it more discomfort than pain. The gas is the worst part as it does hurt until u get up and move about to shift it! As with one of the lovely ladies who wrote before me, i never imagine myself announcing to the public about my gas! Anyway hope all my fellow 5th July bandsters are happy and doing well! Liv x
  23. oo you poor thing! I didnt have to do any kinda diet pre op apart from the usual nil by mouth diet for 24 hours before durgery.. I had my surgery on wednesday so i am on day 6 of my liquid diet and i hate it!! i will be using and abusing my rights to grumble about it too!! I can only wish u the best of luck.. i can tell u that the thicker soups are my favorite at the mo as they are the most filling and most resemble an actual meal. Jelly (i think thats Jello in america!) with low fat yogurt is also very filling! I wish you all the best and good luck with your surgery! Liv x
  24. Good luck! It will be worth it in the end!
  25. Add me! Add me! I'm a fellow July Banster! I was banded on the 5th July at 9pm here in London, UK. Those who have already had theirs done, i wish you the best of luck! Those who are still to have theirs done? Good luck! You will all be fine! We'll be thinking of you! Liv x
