What is everyones opinion on rice cakes? The reason i ask is that i saw on fitday that they are only 8 calories per cake.. and i like them! However, my doctor told me that popcorn was forbidden and rice cakes seem very similar to popcorn to me so any advice would be great!

p.s Bettina.. just imagine the day you can slam dunk your powder into the dustbin and laugh with glee! I should mention that the towel is a big towel but i love it as its pink so i use it all the time and i definatly have lost a little as no body parts show like before! wahey!

I wasnt prepared for how amazing this would make me feel!! I got in the bath and i felt like something was different.. i realised that my hips no longer reach the sides! I am no longer a human dam stopping all up all the water! After i sprung outta the bath i THEN realised that my towel actually fits all the way round my body instead of either my bum or my boob poking out!! Theni got dressed and i critically examined myself and you know what.. i CAN see a difference! I have got a little slimmer! Obviously its early days but to finally see some kinda results.. There are no words to describe how excited i felt! sorry for rambling but just wanted to share! Best wishes

hey sweetie, how strange.. i am in exactly the same situation as you! Got my fill on thursday and i havent really felt any restriction and things go down just as before.. I SO Need another fill. I say go for it. you need the band to work in order for you to work with it! Good luck!

Hiya! Well my doctor puts in 2cc's at the first fill but does so with the flouroscope(sp) so he checks it to see its its too big etc.. 1cc was far too little an amount, 2cc was far too much! So he put 1.5cc's in yesterday and we'll see how it goes! Dont be nervous as it was over and done with in about 20 mins and you only feel a small pinch when the needle goes in. i promise! Hope this helps a little!

yeahhh i'm with Mysherrijo! You tell me where he is, i'll be on the next flight over from london to make him fat and give him a band then lock him in a room with gorgeous dominos pizzas and cakes and chips.. then you can be in charge of giving him the fils! muahahaha!! see how he likes it! HA!

Just been along for my first fill! Had to wait ages for the doctor to turn up which was bad as i was getting so nervous.. so anyway it finally comes round to my turn and i'm shaking like a leaf ( i know.. i'm a wimp..) and then i laid down on the bed and he pressed around a bit to find my port. Once he had found it he cleaned the area then produced this HUGE needle :faint: . He pressed around a bt then put the needle in.. i must admit it did hurt a little bit but not terribly painful then he took the needle out and asked me to stand in front of the flouroscope thingy and i had to drink that discusting stuff and he watched it go down through the florouscope (sp?!) and declared that my band was still wide open! So back i went to the blooming table then he cleaned the area again then poked the needle in again (which actually hurt less that time!) then i repeated as before but this time when i drunk the stuff it didnt go through the band at all so it was much too tight! sooo .. you guessed it!.... back i went to the table and needle poked back in and he took a tiny bit out and then when i stood in front of the flouroscope and drank the yukky stuff it went through just right.. a very small stream so i was very relieved! Phew! he first put in 1cc then upped it to 2 but it was too much so he took out 1/2 a cc then he was happy. so i have 1.5 cc at the mo.. To be honest i prefer that he checked it out there and then instead of just doing the one injection and sending me away wide open.. this way its kinda more accurate! Lets hope i see some results!! I'm on my way to looserville! whoop! :dance:

Woo hoo glad it went well for you! that means mine will hopefully go well tomorrow! I wasnt advised on any pre-fill fasting but i think i will not eat anything from about midnight and drink Water till about 3 or 4 hours before the fill! It'll be so weird as i'm going back to the same place that i had my band fitted in the first place! haha Best wishes

OOO! Good luck sweetie! Since you and i had our ops quite close to eachother i always see how you are doing! I'm going for my first fill on thursday! I bet it wont hurt and you will be so relieved and all restricted and happy! Hope it went well! hugs

Aww i'm so sorry that you find yourself in this situation. Its hard as i can understand how your so feels, but i also agree that if you want it, then it is something that you have to do. Councelling is a good option but apart from that you will jut have to tell him to trust you. I'm sorry i cant be that much help but i sincerely hope you can work through this and good luck to you. Hello all! Like many of you i am tracking my daily food intake and calories on fitday.com... Maybe a silly question but by many foods that are listed, is the abbreviation - NFS. Could someone please tell me what this is? Also what would you call bolognese sauce? Like sauce you put on mincemeat to make spag bol? Also what would you call mincemeat?! haha! I'm having problems translating from British English to American english! :nervous thanks in advance for any help! Best Wishes
