I went to my doctor two days ago to see if I can get the lap band. She said that yes I would be a good candidate to get it. So now I have to go to a seminar and the to a new doctor that will run all the test and see what he has to say. I am praying that my insurance will cover my lap band surgery so that I can start my new life.

I to have sleep apnea so I know how you feel. And you being over weight is the #1 cause of sleep apnea. I am pretty sure that when the weight is gone you will get to lose the mask.

Hello everyone my name is Holly. I am 23 years old and am thinking about get the lap band surgery. I joined this group to get help from people that know what it feels like to be over weight and unhappy about it.:sad: I am currently 235 pounds and i am 5 feet tall my bmi is 44 and I have sleep apnea. I am hoping that if I can get the lap band that it will change my life for good. I am 23 and have not gone swimming in a swimming suit since I was 12. I just want to be happy with the way I look. Maybe if I try hard enough I will finally have the life I have wanted for so long. I also want to thank all the people that have been so nice to me, it means a lot to hear good thing for a change.:wub:
