  1. Hi. I understand how you feel. Sugar Free Jello works for me when I need something sweet. Good luck!
  2. I purchased the pocket size reference book for $7.00 and 5 of the 10 week pocket size journals. The journals were $3.00 each. I do not want any excuses for going over my daily calorie count.
  3. My nutritionist recommended that I use Calorieking.com. I am so glad she did. I can not believe how many calories I was eating each day. I could not understand why my weight loss was so slow until I started logging my meals. I am so conscience of what I eat now and the weight is coming off again.
  4. Ladies, I too had trouble with my eating. I had only lost 20lbs since surgery and I gained 8lbs back. Being a cash patient, I was so discouraged with the band. I remember that the band is a tool and would not do all of the work for me. I realized I had to do my part. My weakness is sweets. From cakes, ice cream and all sorts of candy, I did not turn any of it away. I was recently diagnosed as prediabetic. I knew I needed to make a change. I met with a nutritionist and she recommended the site Calorieking.com. I joined on 7/10/11/. It was eye opening to know just how many calories I was eating on a daily basis. I log my meals and exercise and the weight is coming off. My first week I lost 3.8lbs. I am very conscience now of what I eat. Hope this helps!
  5. I am returning as well. The support is so important. You can not be on this journey alone.
  6. I am in Texas too! I purchased the Zumba Wii game last week. I worked out for the first time yesterday and was so into the work out. I am excited about using it again.
  7. It is so good to come back to the forum. I did not realize how much I needed the support. My weight began to creep back on slowly over the course of the year. I am focused again and ready to start the journey over.
  8. I am experiencing the same. My fill was Wednesday at 4:00pm. I can't keep liquids down. I am waiting a few days before I ask for an unfill. I hope it is due to swelling. I hope you feel better soon.
  9. I am experiencing chills too. I can't keep liquids down either. My fill was on Wednesday afternoon. I have been spitting up most of the liquids. I can't sleep because I wake up because I have to spit up. How long after a fill are you able to eat soft foods? I am on my second day after. I want to give it time before I call my docotr, but I do not want to wait too long.
  10. I had a fill on Wednesday afternoon and can only take small sips of liquid. In between sips I spit up. I wake in during the night and have to spit up. I am most comfortable when I am sitting. I am uncomfortable when lying down. I am so tired because I can't sleep. Is this normal? Is it due to swelling? How long should I wait before I seek medical attention? I do not want to get dehydrated. I have never had a good fill so I am unsure what is normal and what is not with the band.
  11. Welcome to the challenge ididit35! Good luck on reaching your goal.
  12. I am leaving for vacation in 3 weeks. I've done well over the last few months, but can do better. Now that I have the summer off I can increase the amount of exercise I get. My goal for the month is 60 miles.
  13. Wow Msmelc! Congratulations on your 113lb weight loss. That's incredible. Thank you for the advice. I have less than 3 weeks to lose at lease 5 more pounds before I leave for vacation. I'm going low carb and will increase my exercise. Wish me luck!
  14. Hi Jazma. The challenge is about getting the miles in. We use a variety of methods. I use the stationary bike and treadmill. Others have used the elliptical and nature walks. I also use the Leslie Sansone Walk at Home DVD. Set your goal and log the miles once a week. Good luck and thanks for taking the challenge.
  15. I am ready for summer. Every year I am miserable when I go on vacation with my family. Cute summer clothes did not fit and all I wanted to do was stay in the condo. Talking about spoiling the fun for everyone. My husband and daughters enjoyed so many actvities without me. This year will be different. Losing weight has lifted my self esteem. I am ready to enjoy all that life has to offer. I am challenging myself to lose 10 more pounds before the end of June. I slacked on my exercise and still managed to lose 18 pounds in 2 months. Now I am highly motivated and will not use the excuse of being too tired to skip my workouts. Come join me. My goal is 40 miles for May.
