  1. Hi, I was banded Sept 08 and am now, after a fill last week at 11cc. When I was at 10cc I would eat and be hungry 3 hours later. I was told to keep getting filled until you have restriction. It also depends on how light you eat. If you don't eat enough meat like chicken, you get hungry sooner. I have not lost a lot of weight, so I am hoping 11cc is better.
  2. It sounds like you are in good hands. You will not know anything that is going on and will be fine. I had the best nurses at Blodgett Hospital. They made me feel very comfortable. I don't remember anything until I woke up. I have a hard time with anesthesia, so I was a bit nauseous for a while. They have me some of the unjury drink to sip on after a bit the same day. Keep your excitement, I remember being that excited with the anticipation also. Good Luck!! Yellowtulip
  3. I completely understand your frustration. I was banded in Sept 2008 and have only lost 20 lbs. I eat great, exercise 3 times a week, have hypothyroidism and don't seem to budge on the scales. I am going to give it 3 years and may even check into the full bariatric surgery. However, I work with many people who have gained weight back from that surgery. I like the fact that I am not at the weight I was at, but am concerned that I am not dropping any weight. I am filled at 10cc and may be getting another fill in a week. I wish you luck and you are not alone. Yellowtulip:)
  4. Hello, I am new to this site. I had the Lapband Sept 08. I did not expect to follow a strict diet, but eat less. I work out 3x a week and eat pretty good, but am not losing much weight. I am only down 20 pounds. I am now at a 10cc fill and still believe I can eat too much. I am also looking for some good advice. Take care.
  5. The nutritionist at my doctors office is fine with me having 1 diet soda a day. I do not have any pain with it as long as I am not eating food.
  6. My doctor told me about a great peanut butter called PB2. It comes in powder form and you mix with Water and it only has about 53 calories compared to 190. They have a website you can order it on. It is also great to add in your Protein shakes
