Finally I did it! It has been a toss up for a few years . . . After extensive investigating I decided the Lap-Band was the direction in which I should peruse.

Battling weight all of my life (Yes! Who got the fat genes in the family- THIS GIRL - I DO believe some of our makeup is genetic including obesity) Lap Band for me was the best choice as it is non-invasive and could be corrected easily if an issue was to arise.

6.21.13 - Surgery - outpatient - No complications. Checked in at 8 am and was home by 5 pm. Took it very easily for the full week. On liquids only and walked around 3 to 4 times a day as much as possible to help with the gas; which was minimal.

Second Week - advanced to creamy liquids and protein shakes.

Slowly progressed to regular foods… As to date I've received 4 fills and one - unfilled as I was too tight. Have had ONE Slimming Episode and NEVER EVER want to go thru that Slime-Hell again! They call it an EPISODE for a reason. Twenty two weeks and so far I am down 35#.

Seems I've hit the grand old plateau for the last few weeks - - - I will continue to chug along and have faith this is the best route for me!
