I just finished my first glass of water for the day! I did mention the surgery.. not how soon it may be and he asked what would be required of him.. LOL I said well to take me and be with me for at least the first night, get Robby to and from school for at least a week. He said, that was too big a deal. The scheduling place called me today to confirm my appointment for next week and asked if I had a date in mind, so I told her 10/14 or 10/15 possible......... HOLY SHIT! I said I didn't know if that WOULD be possible or not. IF this happens in two weeks, I am going to need to be hell on wheels at work because open enrolment 10/09/08....

Because I have a ton of water weight to lose before my PS consult next week!

Thanks for this thread, I just realized that my annual pap appointment was going to happen BEFORE my consult... I just switched it to be after so that if they need to run any specific tests I can get it done at that time. (they take my blood for Thyroid anyway) THANKS!!

I am so excited to read about your progress and the ups and downs associated with it! I can't even imagine 15 lbs of skin gone! WOW!

Thanks Kelly! I broached the subject of actually having surgery with DH last night and he did the same thing that he did when talking about my band.. WHAT WILL BE REQUIRED OF HIM? LoL Then I did the ceremonial staring at my naked belly in the mirror. I swear it looks like a lumpy sack of potatoes hanging off the front of me! LOL

I am so stinking nervous! IF this this works out... I may have to have my surgery in OCTOBER due to work fluctuations. I'm really hoping to be off 2 weeks or less. I have a desk job. The same anxiety I had when taking the plunge to get my band is ever present. I'm also nervous about telling DH, as he already resents my band and my band friends....... but that is another issue all together. I'm trying to go back and find a bunch pics to look at.... I look down at my belly roll over my pants and I think... is it all worth THAT being gone? will I hate my breasts, arms, legs more if I have a flat belly? If anyone has a quick link to their before and after tt pics I would sure appreciate it, or emailing them to me too. I don't want to see all the flat bellied skinny already people, I want to see those that are like me.... DEFLATED BELLY FLAP! LOL

That means you need to get documentation on RASHES and Skin breakdown! Everytime you see a doc you need to document your skin problems and make sure they write it down!

I am so nervous about it all............... to think that I could actually be scheduling a tt NEXT week! and if I want my credit to NOT be checked again I will have it within 30 days! OMG I don't know how I'm going to pull it off work wise.. I currently have 103 hours of PTO and Sick but it is getting to be open enrolment time! MY SUPER UBER BUSY TIME! We could actually be talking OCTOBER... the other hurdle is telling dh...... with the way he's been about my band...... I don't know how he'd face the reality of me having a tt, and all that would mean (taking care of Robby) I'm working myself up now...... ahhhhh

This what I was quoted today: OK so This is the prices she quoted me on a tt With Muscle repair $6149 doc fee $ 999 anestheisa $ 999 missed this one -------------- $8147 less discount I asked if what if I needed lipo (like on my upper tummy roll) $1999.00 for first area $1799.00 for other area I asked about a mons lift. She said to address it with the doc, because some docs are actually adjusting their incision to create a slight curve in the area that actually pulls the area UP during a TT. She said this technique is changing due to the increase of WLS patients needing that area addressed.

I can not believe I'm starting a thread on here but I had a major development today and it looks like I'm a go for a TT! So, as I've said in other posts my insurance DOES cover skin removal after WLS (my band was also covered) but documentation of rashes and skin break down is needed to prove Medical Necessity. I have no rashes or break down so I knew approval would be slim to none but went ahead and scheduled a consult for today anyway......... (dawn did nothing) Also, I was browsing my insurance website (the one I can log into and look at my claims and such) and I see a link on there for Deep Discounts with affilate partners...... things like discounts on Lasik, Jenny Craige, etc... and Plastic Surgery is one of them....... so I clicked on the link which took me to a form. The short of it is this place works directly with PS and offer discounts because they handle the appointments, surgery dates and financing all in house......... anyway..... she was rattling off prices and finance terms when we finally got to the address of the doc she would be setting me up with..... and low and behold it is the same practice I was scheduled at today! Not the same doc, but the same group. If I went today I would be offered no discount, and have a tiny chance insurance would cover..... or if I go next week under their appointment and agreement, I would be offered the discount and financing... so I said what the hell, run my credit and see if I'm approved.. she did and I am! (barely) but I am.........so my consult is NEXT week, and I will find out then when my surgery is and sign the finance agreement. SO OMG I am freaking out! This TT looks to be coming to fruition! I will tell you that when all is said and done, my monthly payments were quoted to being $217.00 a month for EVER! LOL... seriously though I wasn't listening closely because I really thought I wouldn't be approved. I am scared of going in and telling my boss that I need time off work.... I will be sooooo disappointed if this all falls through, but right now I'm riding the Happy Train! and what better motivation to drink my dang water and shed this water weight!:crying:

OMG OMG OMG! Ok... so I just cancelled my ps consult! BUT IT IS OK! Let me back up.......... DENISE: YOU MADE IT TO ONEDERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK. so big day for me, I am leaving in an hour for my first ever PS consult.. and I DID try the Dawn trick, but IT DIDN'T WORK! So I don't even have a slight chance of insurance approval.. maybe teeny tiny but anyway... I am going ahead with the consult so that he can tell me how fat I still am! and later today, MY SISTER IS GETTING MARRIED AT THE COURTHOUSE! I am so excited for her, but she is nervous as all get out.... this will be her 3rd official marriage (1'st one was annulled at age 18 after 6 months) the second one lasted 8 years and her ex was a total freak...... wanted her to start swinging and after she kicked him out she found all kinds of video equipment in their ceiling over their bed with videos of her and other women from his work..(he worked nights) So even though she and Travis have been together for 5 years....... and he loves her and makes DAMN GOOD MONEY, and they share accounts and all... she is just afraid of screwing it all up... so ANYWAY she is finally going through with it today and then they are having a party on Saturday. I will not be in the office for the rest of the day. I ate half an enchilada mainly the insides.... but I did have the evil icecream later........

OK.. the main thing is to document all those rashes scripts and creams! take lots of pictures. IF your insurance covers it, it will have to be proved medically necessary (like your band) and they will REQUIRE all that documentation and pics. So EVERYTIME you see someone for rash or skin breakdown DOCUMENT IT! This is part of my problem.. I have the lose skin but no rashes or breakdown.... my insurance DOES cover skin removal but ONLY if medically neccessary........ I'm having my first consult tomorrow.

Snuck over at lunch and had my brows waxed! Also weird NSV? I've had to start wearing two bra's.... my back is killing me by the end of the day so I started wearing two underwire bra's at a time and it seems to help, but WHY.. do you think since I'm losing weight and my boobs are getting LONGER that they are pulling on my back more? This pain is one of the things I want to talk to the PS about tomorrow. I am having a consult but I am not hold out much hope that I can get insurance to pay, since I don't have any rashes. SERIOUSLY considering the bottle of dawn sitting near the sink though..... :girl_hug:

Pie Hole report coffee w/sf creamer tomato basil wheat thins (pb'd them) Water (1 SPARKLING GLASS) more tomato basil wheat thins (pd'd them) 1 halloween size chocolate bar (the red kind) Just ate lunch: 1 tv dinner of salsbery steak with potatoes. (the michalini's) so they are small but just enough for me. I am getting ready to REFILL my water glass Dinner tonight is some sort of hamburger concoction If I can drink some water today, maybe that will motivate me to NOT EAT any of the ice cream in my freezer! and Maybe I can be back in the 170's tomorrow!
