  1. ok real quick...……..surgery 21st stayed two nights due to vomiting. Lots of meds for pain . I hate morphine just made me very nauseated. Toradol IV with Zofran was the key. I have came to the conclusion thru reading and now experience the first 24 is a given to be feeling shitty. The second day could be as well. A fresh gown and mini wash up will make you feel better. I used icepacks they are the cats meow!...apparently you may have stomach spasms. it feels like you stomach is twisting and then the pain at the end of your esophagus it did not get better til they gave me a steroid dose to calm down the inflammation which then calm down the pain. ice packs. discharged 58 hours after surgery. I went home and went straight to bed. feeling very week Friday a little better focused on fluid and rest..Just trying to sleep thru Saturday the same sunday. SMALL amount of house work and back to bed down 17 pounds from Tuesday

  5. the reason they want you to do liquids is to clear your liver so they have room to work. You want everything to go well right? Try a little harder. You will be fine. My surgeon does not do liquid diets and I found out she has the surgery years ago. Hang in there
  6. so my sleeve was the 21st. the surgery was difficult from previous scare tissue. Post op I had vomiting. Everytime I went to belch I threw up. Remember they put gas in your belly. So the first day I was without any fluids. Stayed an extra day. Fluids went slowly I am almost pain free now. I feel like normal except for some numbness in my belly from the lidocaine or cut nerve endings. which both may take a while to completely go away. I am not taking any narcotics just Toradol IV. I CANT WAIT to go home and get some rest. I may have slept 2 hours straight in two days. I hope you guys are well. My fear has turned into excitement for my new life. be well
  7. First Nurses don't serve. Yes I am a nurse. I understand how your feeling but not knowing what's going on outside of those doors. Let me help. The incentive spirometer is exactly that...ALL it is, is to give you incentive to take deep breaths to prevent pneumonia. It can be done without it. I am sorry the nurse did not come back. the ratio of nurse to patient is ridiculous ! But again I am sorry you had that experience. How are you today?
