  1. Starting at size: 26 pants 4x shirts Current size: 12 pants comfortably, 10's tightly! Medium/Large shirts I feel: HAPPY & HEALTHIER than I've been in years!!!! Need to work on: Toning and exercising regularly!!! And staying away from Chocolate!!!!
  2. Congrats Whillow on your "WOW" moment! Doesn't it feel great!? There will be many more of those in the months to come! Enjoy it!
  3. Lost a pound this week! Two weeks in a row, the scale has moved! Not a lot but at least it's moving a little! I'm excited! It's 2 months since I've lost anything to speak of!
  4. Exercise has definately been my downfall...I try to get in 30 minutes 4-5 days a weeks but it rarely ever happens that way. I teach Pre-Kindergarten so I get a lot of exercise at work with my kiddos though. I lost 100 pounds in a little less than 8 months. My skin is just now starting to get a little loose feeling so I'll be stepping up on the weights and cardio to try and tighten things up a bit but I feel awesome with what I've accomplished so far without a constant exercise routine. It is neccessary though to have good muscle tone so you don't have as bad of a time with the flappy skin.
  5. For me getting up and walking around helps and warm liquids bring it up but I always try walking first. It seems to jiggle it down most of the time. Good luck!
  6. It does sound like you need a tiny bit of an unfill. I've been through this too. It's not fun at all. Ya won't really loose weight if you're too tight either. When I finally decided to go in for an unfill, I started loosing again and felt so much better! Good luck with things hope ya feel better soon!
  7. Yep, like everyone has said...you WILL know. The good thing is it does seem to pass fairly quickly. Warm liquids seem to help me when that happens. Congrats on your surgery! Just remember...tiny almond sized bites and  chew, chew, chew.... Good luck!
  8. My husband and I both look back at pics from when I was almost 300 pounds and just can't remember me ever looking like that! I know what you mean exactly! It all just kinda creeps up on ya!
  9. Congrats on your surgery! Glad you joined the group! It's a very useful place to be with lots of wonderful people ready to help! The people here have gotten me through a lot of things that my doc couldn't help with because he hasn't had the surgery. It's good to be able to talk with people that have been through it! Take care and welcome!
  10. Absolutely no regrets! This has been the best thing I've ever done for myself! Would do it again in an instant! I haven't felt this healthy in years!
  11. That scale is finally moving again!!! YAY!!!! I am down 103.4 pounds! Lost a pound last week after a month and half of plateaus and acid reflux!
  12. Hi Whillow! Yep, My band has been that way too. It's always tighter in the morning. Somedays I can eat 1/4 cup and feel full then the next day I eat 3/4 cup and feel like I could eat a lot more. I was banded May 1, 2009. Everyone's different as far as what they can and can not eat. Fortunately I haven't found anything that I can't eat yet...now chicken can be a bit trickey some days, but fine most of the time. Foods that are moist seem to work better for me. The crock pot is a great friend! Good luck with everything!
  13. I've been at a stand still since Christmas...getting a fill Tuesday. Hopefully that'll kick things into gear! Everyone's either staying or loosing...that's pretty awesome in my book! Keep it up guys!
  14. YES! I also have PCOS and never had periods on my own. Always had to be "started" with medication. One week after my surgery I started on my own and have been -TO THE DAY-every since! It's the strangest thing! It took my husband and I six years to get pregnant and the last 4 of those were with fertility specialists! My daughter is now 16 and we haven't used birth control in all of those years...now they tell me that I will get pregnant if I don't use some form of Birth Control! Sure wish I would have done this a few years sooner...I'd be having that second baby I always wanted! I just wanted it before 40...
  15. WOW! YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!! Way to go! Keep it up Ann!
  16. Thanks! I definately was! :smile2: I still just can't believe it's me in those pics of that semi skinny lady! It's hard to get used to...but I'll definately manage!
  17. 140 pounds since October 2009!!?? Amazing job!!! WOW!!! And without a fill!!! How? What's your secret? Whatever it is, keep it up! again, I have to say WOW!!!
  18. WOW!!! What an inspiration you are! That's amazing!!!! You have definately inspired me to get moving! Exercise and chocolate are my biggest downfalls! Gotta get in gear! Thanks for sharing! Keep up the great work!!!
  19. Thanks Heidi! Don't be nervous...this was the best thing I've ever done for myself! I wish you the best of luck with your banding! Let us know how you're doing! If ya have any questions, LBT is a great source of answers and suggestions here, the people are amazing in this forum!
  20. Thanks! I feel great! I know once I get my fill, I'll start loosing again...it's hard to wait though, I REALLY like seeing that scale move down at least a little bit everyday. Guess I've been pretty spoiled up to now. I am very thankful for what I've lost so far, I love my band!
  21. Hi Ann! I am going through that very same thing right now! Waking up at night...mad dash to the bathroom with acid coming up about every hour through the night. As you said, SRY TMI.... I had a .5 unfill and to let my pouch rest and will be getting it put back in Feb. 2nd. Did you gain any weight back when you got your unfill? I am soooo worried about that. I really didn't want the unfill but know it was needed. Hope all is going well for you now!
  22. Hi HG! I went through that exact same thing! didn't loose for like a month! It was so frustrating! They told me to eat bites no larger than an almond and chew it at least 20 times per bite! You're absolutely right...once you learn the right way to do it, things just work much better! I'm glad you got it all worked out! Enjoy that food that you can eat now! I know, I though that I'd never be able to eat chicken again! I was so bummed! :smile2: I love chicken! Good luck with everything!
  23. Thanks everyone!
  24. I feel for you, My surgeon and his PA do the fills right there in his office. I couldn't imagine having to make appointments at a completely different place and have a waiting period that long! The longest I've had to make an appointment ahead was a week and that was only once, most of the time they've been able to fit me in that day or the next. I'd maybe think about finding another bariatric doctor that does fills in their office. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
  25. Hi Jen! Thanks for the sweet words! This band has been the absolute best thing I've ever done for myself! In just a month or so post op I was able to stop taking meds for my heart, high blood pressure, high cholesteral, one of my PCOS meds, diabetes, asthma, joint pain and was able to lower my c-pap machine for sleep apnea. It has been amazing! Not to mention, I just feel so much better! I have so much more energy! And absolutely love beeing able to shop in the "Normal Sized section of the clothing stores! It's been a very long time since I've been able to do that! The not so great thing is that I have lots of wrinkles! They just started popping out of nowhere! But ya know...I can handle wrinkles if I have a much healthier body! I've been told that at about 18 months your skin starts to even out a bit and look better so we'll see. Good luck with your banding! Hope it happens soon for you! Keep us posted!
