  1. Just wanted to send along an update. The first pic I am at my pre surgery weight of 320 lbs this fall. Had my sleeve done 10/08/2012. The last two pics are from this week, 10 weeks post op. I am currently at 252 lbs. I hope to be at goal around 180 lbs. - 68 lbs... half way there! Appreciate all the real support here. So glad to be on this journey with you. My knees and back don't hurt anymore as they used to. I enjoy working out and being active. Already more comfortable sitting on those questionable chairs . It's Christmas Eve and I already feel like this surgery was the best present ever. Can wait to loose more an get to goal. Can't completely imagine what if will be like then. Hope it's awesome! Peace and a Happy New Year!

  7. Two great things happened today: Finally broke my latest 10 lbs weight loss goal after a little slow down, down 3 more this week. Woot! Had to tuck my polo shirt in because it looked ridiculous hanging out. First time since surgery and the last year or so I have been able to do that. Got a few really nice compliments, looking good! Oh yeah!
  8. Yeah, Hippa is serious. If he even tells his wife and others did find out not from you, it would be grounds for serious violation.
  9. Your boss defiantly over stepped his bounds. Even if he was genuine and caring, perhaps he should have not pushed you. You are still responsible for your response. I would go to him soon and tell the the truth, and apologize. Tell him u just got scared, overcompensated and this is a deeply personal decision. Thank him for caring and ask again this be kept in confidence. Also want encourage you to examine your motives for worrying about others reactions do much. You are doing this for you. Show confidence in yourself and your decision. Most people will back off and respect you. About 2 weeks before surgery I told everyone I could at work. It was the most freeing thing. No shame, no stories. I know that may not be your answer. But it did help embrace the new me. Congrats on starting a new life. You will be awesome and do great.
  10. Need some new shoes this weekend too. Better cushion again. What do you like for stability and support but good cushion? I have wider feet too.
  11. Sleeved 10/08. Down 60 pounds. MFP is really helping. I am chad2rad on MFP too. Gym about 4+ days a week. I walk at home when not that the YMCA.
  12. I am coming over to your house!
  13. Here it is....
  14. Guys, I had a nice NSV the past week or so. I have been wearing my favorite cologne for a while now but all of the sudden women are stopping and saying omg you smell so good, five separate times this week alone. Don't remember that 60 lbs ago. May be my body chemistry is changing with the weight loss. I am seven weeks out. I'll take it.
  15. Great ideas, love to add old bay to seafood and egg salads I make at home.
  16. That was my hesitation as well. I think I will wait on the seminar and head to the gym where I need to be. Thanks pdx.
  17. Please advise if you have had experience especially. Thanks in advance. Chad
  18. My hospital is hosting a plastic surgery free seminar later tonight. This something I may want to do later, but I am only 2 months post op. Just wondering if if is too early to collect info on something that is over a year away, or would it be helpful now?
  19. I started out with sweet butter lettuce at 4 weeks. It has a very soft texture and I never had a problem. I have not had romaine yet.
