  1. How long do you go now on solids between meals and snacks? Sometimes on mushies I am hungry and hour later and think something is wrong. I wanted to be the one who forgets to eat, lol.
  2. I know, I ate things when I was full or did not really care for. Memories do trick us sometimes.
  3. At my last wls support meeting several of us talked about cooking with spouses pre op and drinking wine ect... like a Saturday night date. The leader suggested that we could still prepare meals together post op but some of our unhedlthy ideas about food and romance may need to change. I know I was a huge food romantic. Just three weeks out, it's hard to be romantic about roast beef hash, but hopeful I/we will find other life romances and learn to appreciate food again.
  4. Somebody cut the lights, I'm fixin to think of something good.
  5. You guys are making me smile! Love all of you, thanks! Had dinner and sitting okay. Glad we are on this together and understand. Made 3 lunch options for work tomorrow, just in case.
  6. Lost 18 in two weeks on no carb diet, except premier shakes.
  7. I sure hope so... I know it will but this is just blah.
  8. I am just not enjoying eating at all. Sad and frustrated about about how I feel afterward. Still feel yucky and sometimes nauseated too much. Drinking feels uncomfortable too this week. Know this was the right decision. But geez.
  9. At three weeks post op, my tastes have changed. I can't tolerate tastes and textures I once enjoyed. Things are too sweet or just taste off and weird. I don't know it until I taste it. It may be okay one day then taste awful the next. Very frustrating. Any words of encouragement? Thanks
  10. I would say its likely heartburn gerd related. Have you talked with your Md?
  11. If you bake it in the oven. Reheats in micro well. Would think it would freeze okay.
  12. Thank you my friend
  13. My first craving since surgery saw a gigantic pic of a hot dog at the gas station. Tried to picture myself eating it and getting ill.
  14. Thank you for checking on me. Back to work tomorrow. Still walking and now eating soft foods. I took a lot of naps too. Tracking on my fitness pal has kept me more accountable. I can eat so little portions they are not a real issue yet, but u are right about measuring from the beginning. I am having to change my ppi, had reflux before surgery. That's been a little difficult. Down 46 since pre op and 28 in the last two weeks since surgery.
  15. The bomb with Heinz 57
  16. I not buying any Halloween candy this year but will help pass out candy maybe at a friends house or go to a movie or something. The leftovers are dangerous so I plan to take them to the work community table Nov 1st. What are your plans to combat Halloween treats?
  17. This was a great read before bed. I might need a cigarette but I don't smoke! Just call me action Jackson someday!
