cereal???
I have just recently found the Special K Protein Plus cereal and LOVE it!! I was getting so sick of eating eggs from breakfast and needed a break so I bought the cereal! To me it tastes like Raisin bran without the sugary raisins!! I eat either the serviing of 3/4 cup or a full cup depending on how much time I have that morning! LOL I haven't been eating cereal up until now and I'm 10 months post-op but I NEEDED a change!

Husband Drama

9 months- HELP!
Are you tracking your food? I was going up and down with the same few lbs for a bit (just over 9 months post also) so I started tracking again and making sure I got all my protein and water and I'm down a few lbs now!!

Lightheaded and Dizzy
I have actually been expereinceing this myself lately and I'm 9 months post-op. I just had labs pulled the other day so we'll see if it's anything there but my doc sure didn't seem to worried about it but it concerns me. I haven't actually passed out though and with that I would make sure you talk to the doc again! Good Luck!

Dawn is being held Accountable!
Been awhile since I've updated! Shoot, been awhile since I was on this board at all! I tend to spend so much time at work and for some reason VST runs SUPER SLOW on my work computer So anyways, I weighed in this morning and I'm down to 157.2!! WOOHOO Over just 6lbs till Goal!! OMG I can't believe I am this close! A week and a half until my 10 month mark and I've lost 93.6lbs! I really can't believe it! Had our neighbors over for a BBQ last night and we got to talking and it came up about my surgery which I'm totally cool with sharing and the wife was Totally into hearing all about it. Her and her husband are "large" people and have A LOT of health issues. I was very happy to share my story/journey with them! Sat and looked at photos because they have only known me now! They were both speechless! LOL The husband was talking to me about how he doesn't picture himself a 300lb+ man until he sees himself in a picture and then he's like WTF! I remember that so well from before surgery. I totally didn't think that I was as big as I was! I swore I was comfortable even though I knew I had "put on a Little weight"! LOL But what is even craizier then that is I still feel this way but opposite! I feel Bigger then I am! LOL When I sit here I feel bigger and then I see a picture of myself and I'm like OMG Is that Me?? WOW!! LOL It's just all crazy head games I guess! So here I am, near my goal weight and feeling FAN FREAKING TASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am running my 6th 5K this weekend (even though I have totally NOT been working out/training for it), I am wearing a size 10 pants kind of! LOL An 8 is still too small but a 10 is too big, I hate being inbetween sizes! LOL I'm in a Medium shirt/dress and LOVING that!!!

getting off of the PPIs
I'm 9 months post-op and I have been off of it for about a month now! I haven't had any real acid issues which is AMAZING because I've been on a PPI for like 15 years now! I have noticed that it's not really the same hunger but that I do feel more "hunger" now then I did before (first few months of surgery) and I don't know if that plays into it or not!

How VSG changed your tastes!
I was hoping it would change my taste and I would like more things but nope I really want to like yogurt but I can't find any that I do like, they all are nasty! LOL I used to LOVE hotdogs and I don't like them anymore, I'm a little bummed about his one, I miss them! LOL I also don't like chocolate candy bars (hersey, twix, kitkat) anymore! YAY! This is a Great thing! LOL

Dawn is being held Accountable!
Well I am losing, SLOWLY, but I started this thred with 18lbs to lose and now I have TEN (10) POUNDS TO GO!!!!!!!! (okay, 10.2 actualy) OMG I can't believe it! I met with the NUT yesterday and she is still as NUTTY as ever and was talking to me about Vegan Protein Meal Replacements and such! She also wants me to take all sorts of other Vitamins (special order) but I don't really understand why. I had my blood drawn a couple of months ago to check all Vitamin levles and they are all OUTSTANDING! Why would I want to change what I'm doing if it's going so great??!! LOL Plus, they are way more expensive and I just don't have money for that type of stuff! She also wants met to stop taking my PPI because she feels "those type of things" can be controled through food. I have GERD and have been on meds since 1998 for it. My surgeon said I will most likely be on some sort of PPI for the rest of my life, especially since having surgery. Really my NUT is CRAZY! I have a annual well woman vist in two weeks and I am actually excited to not have to heard to lose weight! LOL It's always been the number one thing my PCM has talked to me about, lose weight and this time I know she won't say a thing about it! YAY! I have gone back to traking my food even though I haven't made a lot of changes in what I eat! LOL I know I still need to get more protein in my day but being such a picky eater it's hard to get enough without supplementing it! I'm cool with using bars and shakes but I know that this far out I really should be EATING it all! I've been REALLY bad about working out as well! My partner in crime here at work is on leave and I just haven't motivated myself to go. I know I just need to suck it up and get to the gym or go outside and run (but damn it's hot out there)! I don't like to set weekly number goals much (I don't seem to reach them) but I REALLY REALLY want to lose 1.2 or more this week because I just want to see the 150s SO BAD!!!! LOL I know it will come in time and I just need to keep working my journey!
