Yes I put alot of ice in it and blend it up to make a smoothie...but still it makes me gag no matter how i have it....lol I cant wait for cottage cheese and mash potatoes lol...even if all i could eat is 3 spoonfuls of it at least it's a different texture and not a shake!

I also had it! It went away a few days ago...Did you get that plastic breathing device from the hospital?? I did and that is supposed to help the Dr. said.

Ugh that is nuts...I got Body Fortress at Walmart which was 13.96 for a bit bottle...I like it at first, but now I am just plain sick of it...I can't tolerate it anymore. My stomach can't tolerate it anymore!!! :w00t: I can't wait til Monday when I can stop!!! I am taking Centrum chewable vitamins and they have a very weird taste!!!! The best tasting thing I take is the cherry flavored Gas-X lol. It's not that I am hungry and want to eat real food either I have gone to parties this weekend and have had no desire to eat!! I am fine with the broth, Jello, oatmeal, yogurt, applesauce, etc....just NO MORE PROTEIN SHAKES!!! BLAH!!!!!!!!!!!

The gas pain is horrible...I take Gas-x, pepcid, and Tums!! I alternate between them. My incision is pretty sore also. I can't sit for too long, I can't lay down for too long, I cant stand for too long! AHHHHHHHHHH! Can't wait for this part to be over. The good part is that I have lost like 7 pounds since surgery! It takes me 3 sittings to eat a 6 oz yogurt! I am sick of the shakes so what I do it put 2 scoops in 4 oz of skim milk and ice, blend it well so that way I only have to drink it once a day instead of twice or three times. I wanna sleep on my belly again too!!

I stayed overnight at the hospital, and honestly I wish I stayed an extra night or two. The pain killers are stronger and put right in through the IV..lol...the beds go up and down and u can find a position that doesn't hurt ur incision, and everything is bought right to you. Staying in the hospital is not so bad!!

Hi gabrielle I got banded on the third, and yes I am a little bit sore! I rather stand than sit, and I have to lay in one certain position so it doesn't hurt...but the pain is not tooo bad. My gas is getting better, I've been taking Gas-x and Tums....I have to buy pepcid which I heard is good also. I have not been hungry at alllll...I force myself to drink the shakes and a little Jello. I mix my Protein powder with 4 oz of skim milk and it takes me about half an hour or so to drink it. Well keep in touch, since we have close band dates we can compare how we feel!!:sneaky:

The single incision I got is right on top of the belly button, some doctors do it inside the belly button though. It's small and about 2 inches or less long. I've been in a little pain lately but nothing I can't deal with! I have no hunger and no desire to eat or drink anything i have the Protein shakes because I have to, and maybe a lil Jello at night before I take the pain killers. Abbypoo me 2! I have never slept on my back til last night and at the hosital. If it weren't for the pain meds knocking me out I wouldn't have fallen asleep! I wonder how long it will be til I can sleep on my belly again!! :tongue2:

Ok this is my most recent pre-operation full body pic. Weight is about 250 or so! My most recent pre-op weight was 243. But that was right before surgery on a completely empty stomach!!

So last night was my first night at home since surgery and it was not so pleasent. I did have some pain, not excrutiating but a little bothersome pain. The worst part was that I am sooo used to sleeping on my belly and I couldn't. Thank god the painkillers knocked me out! I did wake up in the middle of the night and had to take more painkillers just so I can go back to sleep. I ended up just knocking out on my back but caught myself a few times wanting to turn on my belly. So a lil word of advise to those who sleep on their bellies... START PRACTICING NOW SLEEPING ON YOUR BACK!! lol I wanted to turn on my belly so bad last night! lol :tongue2:

So my surgery was yesterday 8/3 and it went well. I did the single incision lap band surgery and it doesn't look so bad. I hardly have any pain either. I am so happy to start this new journey! I wasn't nervous at all...even once I was in the operating room. I was excited. The Dr.s did a great job. I had broth and jello so far...yummy lol! I was able to walk once the affects of anethsia went away, and I got up all night to use the bathroom various time without any help. The worse part was the nausea after the anethsia...after they gave me meds for that I was pretty good. My pain from a scale from 1 to 10 was about a 3 and not constant pain, just when i moved to certain positions. I am so glad I am over with the surgery, but I have a feeling that this was the easiest part lol...

I am not sure if anyone has posted about this shake already but I found a protein shake that is not bad...It's Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein Cookies'n'Cream. One scoop has 130 calories and 26g of protein. I mixed it with 4 oz of 1% milk, alot of ice, blended it in my magic bullet, and I actually enjoyed it!! I bought a 2lb bottle for 13.96 at Walmart which isn't bad either.
