  4. Mine is chinese food. I can't limit it. I have now stopped getting it.

You look amazing! Love the outfit!
  7. Ok I missed this post when you originally posted it, but OMG YES! Its crazy! And the hubby too! Wow, what an unexpected but welcome side effect of surgery.
  8. I'm in too! I was banded 8/5/09, down 40lbs and would like to lose 19 more by Christmas/New Years. Starting weight 244lb Goal 225lb. Man If I could just get into the 220's I would be estatic! I have seen that since BEFORE High School!
  9. I don't think once once of cream cheese is horrible either, it does have some protein as well. I on the other hand ate a cupcake that my mother and son made yesterday. But it was really yummy and a rare occurance, and I worked out, so it all comes out in the wash. Don't beat yourself up. Before surgery If it were me I would have eaten a whole pack of cream cheese on a binge or maybe evean 2-3 of those cupcakes. It's still better than what we used to do pre surgery. Hang in there!!!
  10. We do a ton of hiking, I occasionally go to bars with my husband, but we really have a sitter, today we went to a mud bog (4 wheeling), and in the morning-pumpkin farm. Just way more active even with just a little weight loss.
  11. I love convienence, I do alot of Boca Burgers (quick in the micro) something like 17gm protein, also love the fish tacos, greek yogurt, eggs, chicken breast and ground turkey breast is another staple in our home.
  12. I love my band because it replaces that button inside my brain that tells me I'm full so stop eating-my was defective! LOL So my band now tells me that.
  13. As long as you are passing gas, you should be ok-it takes some people a few days to have a BM, but passing gas indicates an "awake bowel". It will come. But no passing gas and no BMs 5-6 days post op definately indicates a call to the doc for intervention. Good Luck all. Crystal
  14. Not to ask to me TMI but have you had a bowel movement? As a post op nurse on of things we keep an eye on is your BMs as anesthesias put your gut to sleep. If this is the case (no BM) I would call your doc, if your having BMs all is good. Good luck. Crystal
  15. I heard a joke recently that fits this topic well- hope you guys agree - I know my husband did. A young lady asks her doctor " doc, how many calories are in semen?" The doctor (who was male of course) replied " honey if your sucking that much di*k who cares if your fat!" I thought it was funny, hope you did too! Crystal
  16. Just testing to see if I did the ticker right.
  17. Texas_Rose, Your son, DIL, and baby are in my prayers. I just wanted to say that the doctors can do so much now. I was on bedrest for 4 months and had a premature baby who is now a happy healthy little monster! the risks of complications from prematurity drop significantly with every week baby is inside. Hopefully they can control that BP for just a while longer but if not, have confidence in your medical team. Good luck.

  19. OMG I am so glad to hear you guys had to answer those questions too! I have to say it was one of the most bizarre questionaires I have every filled out, but the rest of the appt was fine. The only thing she told my surgeon was that she ws concerned I would have trouble giving up soda. Not a single craving yet.
  20. Hi all, I was banded 8/5/09. I feel really good and have lost weight alreay (yeah). Hmarko I was really happy to stay in the hospital overnight- I took a long time coming out og anesthesia and was very groggy, also needed a little oxygen until the next morning(3am). So how is everyone doing with excersize, that has been my struggle as I am tired much quicker than normal. Chasing my 4 year old seems all I can do sometimes. But I am going to make the family go hiking with me in the AM can't wait, we have some beautiful trails around here. Well, good luck everyone. Hopefully we'll all be able to KIT and do this together. Crystal
  21. I have a huge bruise from my Lovenox (heparin) injection too!
  22. Congrats-what a cool feeling! I can't wait to steal my hubbys sweatshirts! ;-p
  23. Hello, I was banded and had my gallbladder out in 8/5/09. Everything went well, I've had minimal pain but thought it would be nice to have my husband (very supportive) hang out with me this weekend. Well my MIL picks this weekend-she knows about the sugery and was supportive- to insist that my husband come and clear out the shop (they have in there barn). This wouldn't normally bother me, but she and my FIL also pulled something similar when - had pneumonia a year ago. I needed my husband to watch my son then. I told my husband all of this and after leaving me alone to go there yesterday, he is here with me today. I think my MIL can't handle that she is not the #1 lady in my husbands life- she quite the drama queen. (Lots of stories). Any way just wanted to vent! Man she bugs me sometimes!
  24. Hi, I was also banded on 8/5/09. Also doing really well. I get dizzy with to much walking to, yesterday I was down 10lbs although I don't give it much credit because I thinks its water as well. Well good luck on your journey,I guess we're in for a bumpy ride! Crystal
  25. I too will be banded in August, 8-5-09. I am also new to this site. Looking forward to being around for quite awhile. Good Luck. Crystal
