    Sleep apnea testing

Ah, sleep apnea. I had two sleep studies, which after insurance cost me about 200 bucks a piece. Not to mention the monthly fee for the machine. I think that last about 10 months, not sure yet. Those the sleep tests are horrible and the machine is costly, the change is awesome!!! :tt1: More energy, better moods.... everything. You will get use to the machine and the face gear. I love mine and missing one night on it makes me a monster... :w00t: Good luck!!!

    Happy Dance in the Cubicle...

Is this journey truly worth this much work? May 2008 - PC visit Aug 2008 - Seminar Oct 2008 - 1st Supervised Diet Visit Dec 2008 - 2 Sleep Studies Mar 2009 - Psych & Surgeon Visits Apr 2009 - 6th Month Diet Visit May 14, 2009 - Received ACCEPTANCE letter!!!! I have been down and frustrated  this year with this process. But all that negativity was washed away with a letter and a happy dance in my cubicle. Now all I see is light and possiblity. One year of my life waiting for a piece of paper. Was it worth it? HECK YEAH! Here is to rocking out to 2009! :glare:
  14. Hello There!

Get the support and do it now! I wish I had of done it 7 years ago (your age) rather than going through it now. The fat doesnt go away. It just keeps collecting , so I say do it now.

Keep your chin up & good luck!

  15. Howdy! I read your post on smoking & alcohol. I am on my 3rd attempt to quit. I didnt realize a test was done and now I am only 10 days in to quitting. I was an occassional smoker like you, so I completely understand. It might have only been one a day, but dang it, I want that one! Anyway, if you need a partner in crime to kick this I am there.

    Best of luck to you,

    Christina

What are you looking forward to???

This is a fantasitc question. For motivation I keep a list in my wallet of things I hope to accomplish with weight loss. Here is a few: 1) Putting on my socks without holding my breath. 2) Not feeling like a mammoth in an airplane seat. 3) Being able to sit with my knees together. 4) Not having a red ring around me where my bra was. 5) When I turn the steering wheel for it not to touch my stomach. 6) Kill my CPAP. 7) Not to be able to put my hands under a fat roll. Thanks for sharing

  18. Hello Everyone , My name is Christina and I am from Dallas, TX. I have been going through the many loops for the lap-band since May 2008. Insurance companies sure do like to put you through a lot! Anyway, I hope to have the surgery this summer (June.) I am excited about the journey and have had the pleasure of reading your posts for the last two days. Thank you for all of you being so open about your experiences and I look forward to being one of you. Good luck to all!
  19. Hello!

Thanks for the message. I am working with Dr. Scott at UTSW. I have aetna, too. I havent been denied yet, I am just overwhelmed with amount of of loops you have to jump through.

You are going to do great in your surgery! Do you have an anticipated month yet?

    Good luck!
