  1. It was very easy for me too. The only time I ever personally talked to tricare is when they called to tell me my surgery was approved. Go see you pcm for a referral, and go from there.
  2. Its really not hard to get that amount of protein. For example, the last 2 days I got 114 and 117 grams of protein each day, and both days were only around 950 calories. Now not every day is like that, but for me its easy to get proteinin. Each day I had a shake for breakfast, throughout the day I also ate tuna, string cheese, greek yogurt, edemame, deli ham....
  3. For sure, i'd suggest more calories. At least 1200.
  4. I just want a tool, not a whole new stomach. It is adjustable for my specific needs at that specific time. It can be reversed if there are complications. Complications are very rare. I WANT to do the work it takes to lose weight. I don't want to lose muscle mass, just fat. Hopefully I will lose slower and have a bit less loose skin. More time to adjust, psychologically. I can still eat small portions of all my favorites. I do not want the mal-absorption that comes with gastric bypass. 5 years post-op, lap-band patients statistically have the same amount of weight loss as other surgeries. Quick recovery.
  5. You probably need to replace the batteries.
  6. That's amazing! Great work!!!
  7. I had my first fill (5.5 cc) 2 weeks ago, and still feel the same as no fill. I have never PB'd, slimed, or been stuck. Not that I want to, just pointing it out. lol
  8. I have been, but I really don't want to because it makes me feel like I am on a diet. I did WW for years, off and on. Journaling really does work though.
  9. I can easily feel mine. It is right below my bra line, so not a lot of fat around it.
  10. My first fill was 5.5 cc's and my restriction level is no different. I can still eat anything. But getting the fill was a piece of cake. =)
  11. You're an inspiration!
  12. Let me know if you need to know anything else. I am in 29 Palms too.
  13. It hasn't been a problem for me.
  14. I burp giant burps now. I don't think it matters what I've eaten. <<<Me burping LOL
  15. Are you tracking your daily calories and protein?
  16. I think I was taking mine whole by 2 weeks.
  17. And they are worth EVERY PENNY.
  18. Hey, I think you are going to the same surgeon I went to! The $1500 is the only thing I had to pay.
  19. I was only on clear liquids the day of surgery and the day after. Then Full liquids for 12 days. Mushies for weeks 3-5.
  20. I think Tri-Care is the same everywhere. I didn't have to do a supervised diet. The process all went pretty quick.
  21. You'll be fine! In a few weeks it will all be a distant memory.
