  1. Same thing happened to me. I quit exercising a few days ago and have already lost a couple pounds since then. We know we should exercise but it is frustrating to work so hard and not lose!
  2. Update on the original post...
  3. My children are not obese. 10 year old boy- 72 pounds 9 year old boy- 65 pounds 6 year old girl- 50 pounds
  4. Thank you B-52! That would explain it!
  5. Thanks! I'm hoping that's all it is.
  6. -UPDATE- So I had my upper GI on Tuesday and went back to see my surgeon today. He said everything looked normal on the film but he still couldn't draw any Fluid out of my port. CRAP!!! He did give me a (big) fill this time, but who knows what's going to happen with that. We are going to try again in 2 weeks, and if it is still not working right, he said we would replace the band. Please send positive thoughts that it works out next time. I really don't want to have surgery again! Do you think it sounds like a leak? I just moved to a new city and on Monday I saw my new LB surgeon for a fill. He couldn't get any fluid out of my port AND he couldn't put any fluid in. What the heck is that about?????? My port is really easy to access, so I'm pretty sure he was hitting it. Now I have to go get an upper GI to see what is going on. Has anyone else had this problem?
  7. I hated those shakes. I switched to Unjury, and I actually STILL drink them 8 months post-op. Yummy.
  8. Has it helped as far as over eating goes? I have been putting it off, but now I know I need to go. I have not been eating how I should the last couple months and I need to know why I am always sabotaging myself! I have been dreading therapy. The only time I've ever been was right before surgery, because it was required. I absolutely HATE talking about my feelings, so I was really hoping I could skip the therepy stuff. But I really want to be NORMAL, and I really really hope this helps. I've had a wonderful life, and wonderful childhood, so I feel like I must just be a lazy pig that doesn't actually have any issues. So anyway, I have an appointment next Wednesday. How has it helped you?
  9. I lost 40 before I could see any difference. I still don't think it's very obvious. No one really says anything.
  10. I am amber77k, but I'm probably not the greatest example. lol
  11. My first fill was 5.5 cc's, and my next one was .6. My surgeon said it was like blowing up a balloon, you need a lot of air to get it going, but after the initial fill, you just need small amounts to make a big difference.
  12. I have never slimmed, or PB'd or been stuck.
  13. 1-2 days a week I don't count calories. I don't do it to lose more weight, I just do it so that I don't feel deprived. Works fine for me.
  14. I gained 15 lbs from the fluids in the hospital, but by 1 week post op that was all gone plus 6 more pounds.
  15. My husband is a Marine, AND a GIANT PIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That man eats more than anyone I have ever met! When I cook dinner, he usually ends up making himself a second dinner. When he cooks, it is enough for the whole Marine Crops. Luckily he eats leftovers. I do a lot in the crockpot. I don't think there is anything wrong with pizza, we usually get it once a week.
  16. Thank you! I'll see what my doc thinks.
  17. So exciting! Good luck!
  18. Before the surgery I only saw him at my consult. I see him at every post-op appointment.
  19. It's possible, but not probable.
