I'm a newbie so excuse my ignorance. But if that is the case, then why get the band? If I could make the right food choices and exercise, and eat the right amounts then I would have done it by now. You know what I mean? I was kind of hoping the band would force me to do so.
I got fat one way, and stayed this way for another. I gained 100 pounds in less than 2 years. Came to find out I had an underactive thyroid. Figured if I was going to be fat anyway I might as well eat. I also gained another 30 pounds in 2 months from the depo shot. Pigging out, and 3 kids later, I still have all 130 of it plus an extra 25.

Ok, so I found out tricare prime doesn't cover lap band but I have heard of people with tricare that did have it done. So if you did, what did you do to get them to cover it?
Thanks!
I don't think my insurance is going to cover the Lap Band. :cry
The do cover VBG though. I guess it would be much better than GNY, but I really want a lap band! BOOHOO
I'm just starting to research VBG, what have you heard about it?
