  10. IMO alcohol or marijuana doesn't effect you any differently after surgery.
  11. If my insurance company covered it I would literally be getting the sleeve tomorrow. Only because man-made devices can fail. Lucky me, I get to be one of the statistics! Still love my band though.
  12. Thinking my band was in the recall batch. The tubing disconnected from the port. I had surgery on 1-26-11.

  16. 48 lbs at 6 months, but I have a broken band.
  17. Research the sleeve. I would've went that way if insurance covered it.
  18. HI! I finally found out what is going on with my band. I posted about it on my blog- http://imwiththeband7.blogspot.com/
  19. Hey Vegas Losers! Thought it would be nice to have our own group. I just moved here in August, so I had to choose a new surgeon. I decided to go with Dr. Umbach. Turns out I probably have a leak! He has never been able to get any liquid out of my port (we've tried 3 times.) I was banded on 1-26-11, and now I am waiting on getting a replacement. My insurance (tricare) denied it. The surgeons office is working on getting it approved now.
