  1. I think I have 6.2 in a 10 band. I think they added the .2 Friday. It's so weird going from almost eating anything to not being able to even drink. I may have to go to the doctor's ofc tomorrow morning. Maybe they can take out .1?
  2. Had a slight fill Friday afternoon. Before it, I was eating way to much. Even under fluoro, they said my esphogus looked wider. Now, I can hardly drink anything. A couple of sips of Water and I'm sliming all day. All I had yesterday was a couple of sips of Protein. Even water had me sliming all day. I know this is not healthy. I'm not even getting enough water much less enough protein. But, I also know the tightness wears off. I think I'm going to try and wait for the tightness to wear off. At least a couple of days. Seems like I went from one extreme to the other.
  3. Couldn't find "this band friggin works" thread. Any help? Can someone make a link to it?
  4. My doc said no sex for two weeks. I waited alittle bit extra, just in case! My doc also said to refrain from alcohol for a year.
  5. Stacy, I was banded on the same date as you and I've about 35 lbs too. That includes the 13 lbs I lost in the pre-op diet. I've been working out every day an hour on the treadmill and sometimes weights too. Sometimes I vomit/PB but, I don't think I need an unfill. As others have said above, you have to work at it. I know sometimes I eat to fast. I keep trying to eat chicken even though I know it usually gets stuck. I know I have to work harder at this. I know we can do it. At least if it comes off slow it's sure to stay off this time.
  6. Deli Shot? What's that. Is it like a tequila shot?
  7. I think it's from the high protein diet, Ketosis.
  8. I agree w/ Cathy. Keep a journal of everything you eat and drink. Good luck!
  9. Has anyone ever done a Canidia Cleanse with or without the band??? I've been thinking about trying it.
  10. How many use Frozen Dinners like SmartOnes... on a regular basis? I'm thinking the portions are just about right. Trying to get lunch ideas for work.
  11. I love Vanilla Designer Whey protein. I usually add cinnamon. Sometimes I add SF chocolate & Peanut Butter, coffee for a Frapiccino taste... sometimes strawberry crystal lite for a Strawberry cheesecake taste... the choices are endless.
  12. Sorry to hear about the problem with your band. Good luck on your test next week!
  13. Congratulations! I hit it last week and am still hoovering here! What an awesome way to look at it. No more 200's EVER again!!!
  14. My doctor said to take two children's chewables a day. Which I've been doing. I also take chewable calcium, extra vitamin B and biotin.
  15. Good question. I'm interested in hearing what others have to say!
  16. That's awesome! I'm so excited for you!
  17. Thanks for all the support!!!
  18. I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I hope you will feel better soon. Let us know how you're doing and why you had to have your band taken out when you feel up to it.
  19. Where do you buy them?
  20. No, it's not a new radio station. I finally broke the 200 barrier after hovering between 203 and 200 for about month. I switched up my exercise. I think that helped plus I also did mostly liquids yesterday because of a bad stuck/PB episode the day before. Now, if I can only maintain it this weekend!!! This journey has been alot slower than I thought it would be but, hopefully, it means I will keep it off this time.
  21. Hey Suz, Congrats on breaking your plateau and getting into the One hundreds. How much did you weigh on the date of your surgery? You're doing an amazing job! Hope to talk again.
  22. I've always thought 40 lbs was the magic number. In the past, I'd have to lose 40 lbs before people ever noticed or started getting compliments. I hae reached that spot yet, but, hopefully soon. I can tell when I look in the mirror and with my clothes. I can see a big difference in my waist. You're doing great! Keep it up. Don't worry about negative people.
  23. Thanks for the suggestions.
  24. I've been on plateau for about a month now. Going up & down between 203-200. I think I'm at a "set-point" and my body doesn't want to go past it. Any ideas how to break it? I've been exercising an hour a day. I think if I lower my calories really low like do protein shakes only for a day or two, I think it'll go back up immediately after going back to food.
