Frustrated
I've lost 17 lbs but, the majority was from the pre-op diet. I'm two weeks post op. Been doing mushy food for a week. I'm eating less than 1000 calories a day, I don't understand why the weight hasn't been dropping. I've been at the same weight for almost a week!!!

Designer Jeans?
WOW, Keli you're almost there (if you haven't bought some already)!!! Congrats on your weightloss.

Designer Jeans?
There's a thread somewhere on here asking what are the top three things you're going to do when you reach goal. Getting a pair of expensive jeans is VERY popular. My question is which brand of jeans are you planning on buying? :smile2: I always have trouble finding jeans I like so, I'd like to get some ideas for my "Dream Jeans".

How did you determine a WL goal?
I choose the weight I remember feeling and looking my best too. I haven't been at that weight in over 10 years but, I know it's healthy and anything lower would make me look too skinny. Your goal weight should also be in a healthy or "normal" BMI range which I believe is 25 max. Good luck!

green urine
My doctor's office said they sometimes give you a blue liquid during surgery basically so, incase they accidently puncture your stomach, they'll see the blue fluid. They said peeing green is a result and will go away in a couple of days.

1 wk and starting mushies
I LOVE "Designer Whey" protein powder, 18 grams protein. I mix in blender w/ ice and FF milk. I add a sweet 'n low and use different flavorings. Sometimes I add cinnamon, different extracts, SF chocolate, 1 tsp peanut butter (tastes like a reeses peanut butter cup) ....

paranoia
I was banded on 04/14/09 and I'm paranoid too. I accidently got bumped in the port tonight and I'm wondering if there was any damage done aside from the pain. :crying:

7 days post-op - Mushy?
I was banded on 04/14/09. 7 days post-op today. I'm supposed to start blended/mushy food 7 days post op. Is it 7 days including the date of surgery or 7 full days AFTER the date of the surgery????

Incision questions
I have 5 total (also had hiatal hernia repair). Three are small and two are large. One looks like the surgeon made the stitches to tight and it's sunken in. Like when your sewing and you pull the thread to tight and material gets bunched up. Yuck!! Anyone else had that? Hope it flattens out. Made he let a resident do it.

Surgery - weight gain?
I "gained" 5 lbs from my weight the morning of the surgery to the day after. It certainly wasn't from eating anything. I was on clear liquid the evening of the surgery. Does the swelling, air/gas, blood cause a "gain"? Did anyone experience this? I'm 5 days post op and I'm just now back to my the weight before the surgery. I'm still on full liquids.

High Anxiety
I'm 5 days post-op. I'm still having pain and discomfort. Especially, sitting down, laying down and getting up. I can't bend over either. I'm taking pain meds a couple of times a day. I'd never had surgery before so, I was terrified! :tt1: The surgery itself was not bad at all. I was really surprised. The whole next day I couldn't believe I'd really had surgery (except for the pain & discomfort). I was surprised by the swelling & bloating. I wasn't expecting that. Overall, it's not bad. It is major surgery so, some pain should be expected. Good luck with your surgery.

How LonG???
Thanks for the tips! I tried to use the pillow to roll to my right a day or two ago and it hurt to much. It felt like something was pulling. I tried again last night and it worked. It felt soooo good.:tt1: My back was poppin and grinding like you wouldn't believe!

How LonG???
How long before you could sleep on your side? My back is hurting from laying flat on my back all the time. I'm walking around, sitting up most of the day but, I'm used to sleeping on my sides mostly.

Gas Pain?????

I gotta ask about sex?
Your body has to have time to heal. Use this time to get closer in other ways, holding hands, cuddling..... try to reassure your wife.

How Active?
How active were you the first few days thru the first week of surgery? How much walking is enough? How much is to much? What other activities did you do?
-
Pain & Swelling???
How long does the pain and swelling last? I'm so scared, I'm screwing up my stomach. Am I drinking to much liquid, drinking it to fast? Am I bending, sitting, standing to much? I'm scared I have slippage or pull a stitch.
